I am not a hunter and not a reader of Outdoor Life, and had never heard of Zumbo before, but I sure recognize his name now. So it wouldn't be much of a stretch to figure that Abderholden wants to bask in Zumbo's now radioactive glow...

Not really. They've always wanted all firearms banned from everyone except the police and the military. This has been their goal from their inception.

Go to MySpace and find the Brady Blog. Look for a loooooooooong post from yesterday. The gun grabbing mutt 'moderator' quotes Zumbo as a reason to ban "Sniper Rifles".

It's obvious from his comments, including the one about watching someone fire a full-auto AK-47, that he's just as ignorant as Jim Zumbo.
Ignorance isn't necessarily bad. It's simply a lack of knowledge.
However, Adberholden and Zumbo are also lazy.
There is a wealth of information about all firearms, including semi-autos, on the internet, and in libraries.
Yet, rather than check their facts, and/or educate themselves, they chose to write articles/blog entries rife with hyperbole and misinformation.
The result is an article and a blog entry that look as though they came straight from the desk of Sarah Brady.
With all due respect, You're wrong. Banning all guns has been their intent all along. I personally heard the brady whore and her boy of the week at the time the late and unlamented former mare of Atlanta Mainturd Jackson state exactly that they wanted a country "where only the police and military are armed."

Just becaue this a-hole uses it as an excuse doesn't mean a thing. It was always on their agenda, and anyone whose been around the gun rights movement any length of time know this. THEY WANT THEM ALL. Always have.
They will not stop unitl we are dead or they are dead or they have every last firearm rounded up out of citizen hands and put into the hands of the police.

Interesting the last Tred Barta (Sp) show I watched was about hunting public land in CO. He was very supportive of keeping public land open. He made a point of the cost of a Private Hunt $6800.00 vs a public hunt.
The 2-round Garand clips are "for" the rapid fire stages in high-power rifle competition. Each stage requires firing 10 rounds. There's also the SLED ... single shots, and the device doesn't pop out, designed for the slow fire stages.

I see no need for private protection services since I can't afford one and Liberals and RINOS are big on everyone being equal. For Politicians no protection except the Pres., VP and Speaker and it ends at the end of their term with exclusion of the Pres. who I would give eight years. We should also have a no ransom policy. If I can't have it neither should they.

I'm not disputing what their goal was all along. My point is that NOW they are going public (MySpace reaches millions) with their aim to ban all Rifles. And now they're using Zumbo's resume and 'creds' as an expert as backup.
Hell I KNOW they want every firearm banned. Anyone who believed their cr@p that they 'only' wanted 'illegal handguns' kept from criminals, or 'to protect the children' was an idiot or a fool.

Yes, that's what I was trying to say.
Not that we can tell. It's been an hour after the initial post had he's yet to make a single reply to any posted question.
He has also yet to mention the Second Amendment in any context other than hunting. That leads me to believe he still doesn't get it.
