SC has got to be CRITICAL for Duncan.
If I recall, Grant was not a bad President. But its been 15 years since I really read up on him.
I guess so. So is NH. Hope he's got good people up there.
I say that because his natural constituency is very traditional, very pro-military, like SC. If he can't do well THERE, where could he do well (besides maybe out west, but SC is much earlier and gets attention)??
I think NH is a problem.
All of it will be a problem until he works his way up. A good ground game is essential. I plan to be part of that.
I remember reading he was personally honest, but the people in his administration were not - some of them anyway.
I think Sheridan was his Secretary of War after Sherman. I read that "little Phil" once physically threw a train conductor off his train for annoying him.
Sheridan was an Irish American but looked more like a Mongol or Hun.
Sec of Defense or Director of Homeland security?
No thank you. Homeland security is too interested in "domestic terrorists" as it is - that is, many of the policies it seeks are flat out dangerous to the civil liberties of regular, mostly law abiding citizens, rather than focusing aim on actual terrorists.
Don't get me wrong, I want them to prevent home-grown bombers from blowing up buildings as well, but I can see him deciding that homeland security means taking his NY style gun control nationwide. That would be a bad plan.
I heard Mark Levin say that he wanted to have Hunter on his talk show yesterday, but the plane was canceled. Mark Levin is a great conservative guy to have in your corner, with over 100 affiliates, growing by leaps and bounds.
Mark Levin doesn't have too many politicians on his show, so he must really like Hunter - no surpise there, as both Hunter and Levin a true conservatives.
THere has been alot of upgrading to Grants image going on in the last decade. Regardless of talent, he was a mans man. SHeridan and Sherman as well.
Levin is one rapid fire SOB ain't he. Little too excitable, like Savage, but sane.

Agreed.
He was a class act at Appomattox and showed what he was capable of in the Wilderness and the Bloody Angle.
Like Lincoln said "I can't spare this man - he fights."
Mark Levin is a great man. He's right on the nail - always.
"Levin is one rapid fire SOB ain't he. Little too excitable, like Savage, but sane."
Yeah but, Levin MEANS it. lol (imo, Savage overacts.)
Mark Levin is a truly good-hearted guy, despite his crustiness, and supports our troops on his show, visited a wounded soldier in the hospital, and helps Sean Hannity, when Sean and Ollie raise money for the education of the children of fallen soldiers.
I think Mark Levin is one of the greatest conservative minds out there, and he does his research, which is why he likes Duncan Hunter.
Savage is a patriot too. Just emotionally unstable. Kinda like McCain.
