Go back and read your Chaucer. You will see that language evolves in spite of an individual's efforts to keep it static. I love Old English but I wouldn't expect or want it to have lasted unchanged for fifteen hundred years.

I am an advocate for embracing new words as society finds the need for them. There is a marvelously long list of words in common use today that no one knew a hundred years ago.

Maybe you should read it again and this time look for the meaning behind the quote. John Galt held altruist, the lazy - and especially - the accommodaters in contempt. Especially the accommodater because they supposedly knew better but were unwilling to stand up and say NO.

So your job is to make extra work for people who don't understand your lingo? If you were to do just enough to properly spell out the words you would save EVERYONE the extra effort of having to translate and to help clarify what you mean. Instead you limit a large portion of people (other than Internet nuts like you and me) from understanding you. Go back and read your Chaucer. A person can take a stand without being a jerk but only the recipient may feel differently - that is the intention. Get them (you) to think. Just like I am trying to get you to do. If you don't like what I have said you didn't have to respond.

If you don't believe in the ideals of the left and won't stand up for or defend the beliefs of the right then you are in the middle of the road. You know what they say about being in the middle of the road - "You get run over by both sides".

Defending the right in a forum like Free Republic doesn't count as you are in a primarily Conservative crowd. A soldier for truth defends his/her beliefs regardless and will target the enemy especially when fighting the battle that we have to fight to keep this country free.

Otherwise you will be a victim of your own fears and will not accomplish ONE TINY THING to preserve freedom.

Ok, Wes is my boyfriend and i just wanted to clear everything up. 1. Wes is white, marques was black 2. Wes would NEVER intentionally hurt ANYONE 3. if your house is getting broken into OF COURSE YOU'RE GONNA DEFEND YOURSELF 4.
