Two of my favorite statements by Rudy Rooters are:
You should vote for Rudy because he is a lawyer and will be able to argue law. LOL pity for the "great" mind that would vote for Rudy for this reason.
The worst was the person who stated "We need to get rid of conservatives to get back to "Rockefeller Republicans" so we can elect people like Ike and Nixon".
Ike did get rid of many illegal aliens via "Operation Wetback".
Nixon was noted for many things but his "Endangered Species Act" was the worst.
This allowed a government servant (master) to call a bug endangered and have a persons land to be taken over by the government without just compensation!

Ruth Bader Ginsberg:
But an analysis of voting patterns in the Supreme Court, published in the July 2 New York Times, suggests that Justice John Paul Stevens may, in fact, be more liberal than Ginsburg. The analysis examined every non-unanimous Supreme Court decision from the 1994-95 term through the 2003-04 term to determine how often each justice voted with the other members of the court.
Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas agreed on the highest percentage of decisions (79 percent); the two justices that agreed on the lowest percentage of decisions (14 percent) were Scalia and Stevens. Ginsburg actually agreed with Scalia -- among the most conservative members of the court -- on more occasions (28 percent) than did Stevens or Justice Stephen G. Breyer (25 percent).

I think he handled his duties well after 9/11. Lots of people do their jobs well every day. If that's the only qualification for president, I'm going to vote for the busboy at our local diner.

Here you go... exact wording re: Ginsburg:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,163223,00.html
COLMES: Now, Roe vs. Wade -- You are pro-choice. How important is it to you as a pro-choice Republican to have a pro-choice on the court as someone...
GIULIANI: That is not the critical factor. And what's important to me is to have a very intelligent, very honest, very good lawyer on the court. And he fits that category, in the same way Justice Ginsburg fit that category.
I mean, she was she maybe came at it from a very different political background, very qualified lawyer, very smart person. Lots of Republicans supported her. I expect, and listening to Senator Nelson, I expect that John Roberts will get support from a lot of Democrats.

We need a Churchillian leader who will stand strong against Islamic fascism and win this war. Of all the Republicans running or thinking to run for President, Rudy is the strongest on this issue.Perhaps you will explain to all of us how Rudy will accomplish this.
Rudy will be portrayed by the media as a DRAFT DODGER with no moral authority to commit troops anywhere. Not even in disaster zones.
During the primary, he won't even be able to bring up the war on terror without the media going after his record over and over.
Get used to names like "CHICKEN HAWK", "DRAFT DODGER", and "COWARD" when Rudy is discussed by the media.

I always wondered if I looked back at old Kerry threads, if the same ppl that think Rudys social values are no big deal-what they thought of skerrys stances on the 2A, abortion, gay rights, the enviroment etc. Most likely you'll find posters that cry out about attacking Kerry on his personal life. The ones that have no maoral values of their own.

Garfield had been a Union general and had just been selected senator. Even so he was a dark horse candidate for the presidency.
