The publisher's description of the new version still notes that it was written in 2002, after "eight young women shared an idea to create a book on healthy sexuality that would be honest, non-judgmental and encourage other young women to learn more about their bodies, their relationships and their sexuality."

But the new version is "vetted by doctors and endorsed by health professionals…," including a pediatrician from the Division of Adolescent Medicine at The Hospital for Sick Children, the publisher said.

The fact that there are leftists with medical degrees endorsing this means nothing.

even while it promotes the "Plan B abortion pill"

Plan B, the morning-after pill, has nothing to do with the abortion pill.

Why is this called "Plan B" when "Plan A" seems to be total lack of planning?

What do you think Plan B does?

It prevents fertilization, unlike RU-486 (the abortion pill). It's like all the other contraceptions that prevent fertilization. That's why the President allowed it to be sold over the counter.

It can also cause a fertilized egg to be flushed out of the girl's body instead of it having the chance to implant. Abortion.

Do you think President Bush would be okay with that?

He hasn't outlawed the birth control pill.

One of my big concerns is the fact that regular birth control is prescription only, yet a massive dose is available OTC. This is totally at odds with the way all other drugs are regulated.

Actually, he supports the decision to make Plan B available over the counter. So I guess, if Plan B was an abortion pill, which it is not, Bush would support abortion, which he does not.

Q Thank you very much. Mr. President, some pro-life groups are worried that your choice of FDA Commissioner will approve over the counter sales of Plan B, a pill that, they say, essentially can cause early-term abortions. Do you stand by this choice, and how do you feel about Plan B in general?

THE PRESIDENT: I believe that Plan B ought to be -- ought to require a prescription for minors, is what I believe. And I support Andy's decision.

It says that it MAY or may not prevent implantation (if the quote is accurate, which I wasn't able to verify). Quite different from the abortion pill, which destroys the embryo already present. I stand by what I said, it is deceptive to call Plan B an abortion pill.

Plan B also prevents a FERTILIZED egg from attaching to the Uterus.

This is post conception.
