"I saw something the other day where Brownback is attacking Romney. I mean, what a dumb way to spend your life." Uhh....isn't her criticizing Brownback?

I'm not sure of the presidency, but a Cheneyesque position of Executive VP might be optimal for Gingrich.

Good for Newt! I agree. Especially with all the people attacking Rudy. We should not be squabbling but united against the common enemy - the Democrats.

Gingrich certainly has a way with words.

Newt will get into the race as a 'surprise' candidate in September. He's basically said so.

Said the squabbler in chief who is the most disloyal Republican bar none.
I don't know if any of you saw the poll on Fox News tonight but of all the presidential candidates (announced and potential), Newt's unfavorability rating was the highest. It was 60-something percent.

a Cheneyesque position of Executive VP might be optimal for Gingrich.I agree. The man is truly brilliant. Even when I was in Europe for two years (without news other than the European edition of the WSJ) back in the mid-'90s, I followed Newt and his Contract.
People should listen to him, read his resume, realize that he got us the House and the Senate.
Here's a sample for those who know little about Newt.

"As Mr. Gingrich glad-handed, posed for photos, and autographed books yesterday before his speech, dozens of members of the audience urged him to seek the nation's highest office.
"The first five or six didn't get to me, but by no. 60, it is very humbling to have a lot of different people walk up and say, 'You ought to run for president,' and say it with a passion," he said."
What did he expect from his fans?

Apparently Brownback can't find the time to show up for his day job anymore. He made it to 48% of the votes last month.
He needs to get back to work

I'd vote for Newt in a heartbeat. The other candidates don't interest me enough to even bother leaving the house.

"The idea that these campaigns have to be this utterly stupid and destructive," Mr. Gingrich told an audience at the Women's National Republican Club in Midtown. "I saw something the other day where Brownback is attacking Romney. I mean, what a dumb way to spend your life."Quite a few FReepers should take note of this. We should work to overcome Hillary and the rest of the liberals. Not each other.
