John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, and George H.W. Bush were U.S. reps. The last president who was a mayor was Grover Cleveland, who was mayor of Buffalo, 1881-'83. He had more experience than Rudy when he was elected President, since he was gov. of New York, 1883-'85.

I have my brand new, purchased just for these occasions, flak jacket, and my kevlar helmet. I am now ready for the incoming. And I know I will not be disappointed.

You know that. why distort reality? who you foolin? Kennedy was a Senator. So was LBJ, wasn't he? Nixon was a veep, wasn't he? So was Ford. GW was governor of Texas. So please, stop the nonsense.

Would not NYC be bigger and more complicated to run then a state from the 1880's? I am no expert on this but it would seem to make sense, no? And I am sure 9-11 adds a little to the mix and the fact that the UN is in NYC and so I am sure Rudy has met many international political heavyweights. I am not taking sides just trying to get my feet wet in this here discussion.

If Rudy is nominated, we all had better work like hell for him. I would love to see Newt up there. However, I don't see any ability by the conservatives to rehabilitate Newt so that he is palatable to the mainstream which is as shallow as oil on water. If we show such an ability, that would be a real thrill to experience. So far, we are like primitive savages against the adept liberal media.

Thanks for the compliment. I took alot of time writing it. Sorry about the error on assault weapons, I hadn't heard anything about it coming before Congress again but thanks for letting me know.

There is no way I can ever vote for someone as liberal as Rino Rudy. He is so far to the left he makes me lose my fear of the democrats.

No one has been elected President while that candidate was a U.S. rep. I didn't say that Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, or George H.W. Bush were elected President while they were congressmen. I didn't distort reality. I didn't say any nonsense. I stated facts that many people who were congressman later became Presidents. I think that Rudy might be a good President if he got more political experience.

If you think Rudy is so far to the left that you lose all your fear of Democrats then I believe you're so far to the right that it makes me afraid to think about some of the people that make up the Republican Party.

8 years as Mayor of NYC is pretty good experience. NYC has more people and a bigger budget than about 40 states. Being Mayor of NYC isn't called the "Second toughest job in America" for nothing.

And I say being mayor of NYC, let alone on 9-11, is a bigger job than being congresscritter. Where's Paul's district anyway? Is it rural?

One of the most used arguments for voting for Rino Rudy is to keep a rat out. But to me he is so far to the left I will not ever vote for him no matter who the rats run.

Rudy receives a key endorsement!

I suppose people are going to attack WFB Jr. as a RINO now :)

Thanks for the post and the list.

Rudy runs with the big dogs. If he loses, it won't be for lack of leadership/executive experience.
