Oops - it is morning :-)Morning always comes too fast when I'm on FR at night... One minute it's 10:30pm, next thing I know it's 2:30am... ;-)

Smuckers Organic PB is the absolute best. Too much sugar in the others! Not only that, as much peanut oil as possible is removed, and replaced with canola oil, in the others.

I realize this thread has nothing to do with Fox News, but I wanted to be sure you saw this FDA alert. It appears several FReepers have this recalled peanut butter in their homes...

If consumers have any of this Peter Pan or Great Value brand peanut butter in their home that has been purchased since May 2006, they should discard it. Discard it? My two jars are going back to the store where I bought them along with a print out of the article. It's refund time.

I always get Skippy creamy. In fact, I think I'll carve up an apple right now and do some PB dipping.
Hmmm mmm!

I guess it must be all the runoff from the cattle farms and the feral pigs rooting in the vats again.

I've got one open and one unopened. Opened new one 3 days ago. As a diabetic I have a PB snack in the AM and PM. This could account for the GI disturbance for the last 3 days.
Is there a diabetic ping list? Lots of diabetics snack on PB.

Check out this very important warning! Several FReepers have discovered they have these contaminated jars of peanut butter at home...

I'm pretty sure I ate some, too, with crackers on Sunday night. I have had a really bad headache for the last couple of days, and my eyes have really been irritated. I just chalked it up to allergies.
I checked out WebMD and those are two of the symptoms. I haven't had any GI problems, though.

This could account for the GI disturbance for the last 3 days. Hmmm... Mrs. IR is currently in her 2nd trimester, and PB crackers were the only thing she could keep down for a while. A few here, a few there. She finally got over the morning sickness, and I inherited the remainder of her jar of Peter Pan. I promptly scarfed down a 3rd of the jar. During the past couple of days, I, too, have noticed a disturbance in the force.
So, I just went to the kitchen and checked the jar for a product code. Just my luck... 2111.
Surely, salmonella would produce far worse symptoms, right?
