Good for Hardaway, he's entitled to his opinion.
I hope he's prepared for the John Rocker-ing he's gonna receive from all those enlightened sports reporters now.....

But I thought Tim was the master of the crossover!
To: Rummyfan
Oh Oh. Off to Rehab for him!

I hope he's prepared for the John Rocker-ing he's gonna receive. . . . But Tim is not pigmentally-challenged, as was Rocker, so he may have it a little easier.

He clearly doesn't mean hate in the "I'm going to harm you" sort of way. He doesn't like the practice and wants nothing to do with those who do. I wouldn't call that hate. Too bad he used that word.

I hate homosexuality. The behavior. But I don't hate homosexuals. Never had a problem getting along with gays, treating them like anybody else.
I'm guessing its the reverse with Hardaway. That is, that he likes the same acts as long as it's with or from a woman, but hates the people who are homosexual.

You know, I have no opinion on this whatsoever, but I really want to watch it unfold. I really do.

Le Batard took Hardaway to task, pointing out that his comments were flatly homophobic and bigoted Bigoted? maybe. Homophobic? Nope, homophobe is one who fears homosexuals, not one who simply doesn't like them. I tend to doubt that Hardaway fears many men.
To: Free ThinkerNY
Dan LeBatard, from what little I have heard of him, is a real left wing ass. It would have been fun to hear how he dealt with this.

Hardaway made the comments while he was being interviewed by Dan Le Batard on 790 the Ticket Wednesday afternoon.Le Batard the Blow Hard! I once heard Le Batard on Tony Kornheiser's show complaining that not enough media types could speak to the Manny Ramirez-es and other Hispanic players in their native Spanish and that this was a sympton of a larger problem here in the United States. Per Le Retard it was one of the reasons contributing to September 11th!
I'm not kidding!

Uh oh. Tim's in hot water now. Very politically incorrect.

John Amaechi is a British-born former NBA player (a journeyman who played for several teams) who reveals in his new book that he's gay.
