- it is as if one sliver of imperfection acts as an automatic disqualification.

Even this product is too impure to be conservative

How about if he's wrong on 70 to 80 percent of the issues?

I don't think he is. He has said he would appoint the correct judges, he has stood with Bush on Iraq, he would deal harshly with the terrorists, and he has a record of cutting taxes and government in New York.

Why are you so quick to settle on a liberal?

Why are you so quick to label him one? The liberals themselves would chafe at the idea that Giuliani is one of theirs.

If all three are wrong for America, then we must reject all three. I'll be supporting a true blue conservative patriot, not an abortionist gun grabber, et al. Thank you very much.

People fight hardest when they fight for something they truly believe in.. maybe that's one reason the GOP is faltering.. we end up fighting to elect people that don't share our values and beliefs only because they are 'electable'? Go away Rudy, your going to end up being a spoiler.

It will be a very sad day if Hillary gets into the Oval Office - a Clinton Restoration is not something anyone wants to see.

Slight point about that - Gerald Ford didn't lose because he wasn't conservative enough; he made a couple of very large gaffes which destroyed what was a tight race - he could easily have won and the world would have been a happier place. Bob Dole was a sacrificial lamb rather than a serious choice.

Giuliani said he believes global warming is occurring but is not sure how much of it is caused by humans...

Thanks for finding this.

Trust but verify.

I loathe the MSM.

B/S. The man likes Ruth Bader Ginsberg for crying out loud. He favors a woman's right to choose. He says Roe vs wade is settled law. He thinks it's consistent with the second amendment to "regulate" guns. "Can't take them, regulate them." This liberal isn't coming anywhere close to appointing strict constructionists. How many conservative (or even Republican) judges did he appoint as mayor? Hmmmmm?

Anyone who can get elected by the majority of the voters in the human zoo that is NYC is unacceptable in my book.

I'll let Giuliani speak for himself in this instance:

Rudy: I Would Appoint (Judges Like) Scalia, Alito and Roberts

As for his personal opinion on abortion - so long as this holds true, that doesn't matter. The Constitution states that powers not enumerated in it are reserved for the states or for the people. If Rudy appoints strict constructionists to the bench - and I suggest that he'll have to keep that pledge to get GOP support - they will overturn Roe vs. Wade and this will be an issue turned over to the states for a referendum, much like gay marriage has been booted out of states on that basis.

I realise that you despise Rudy and nothing I say is going to change it. At the same time, I don't agree with the basis of your disliking him, and I regard his Presidency as a better outcome for the Free World than a Hillary or Obama Presidency.

"On immigration, Giuliani said while the country needs to ensure that terrorists, drug dealers and other criminals are not entering the country we should not be driving law-abiding immigrants away.

Clue to Rudy---if they'se CAME HERE illegally, then they'se ain't "law-abiding". I don't give a damn about how "good" they've been since they got here.

""The worst problem would be . . . if you're the country that nobody wants to come to," Giuliani said."

Snowball, meet hell.

In a Fox poll yesterday Romney had 3% and Hunter had 2%. Let's see if Hunter gets the backing to run a high profile campaign. In the meantime, I like the way he is doing his job in congress, especially his advocacy of the border agents. Nothing warms my heart like a politician working for his constituents.

Giulani explains his sanctuary city immigration policis in NYC pragmatically. He says he had 400,000 illegals and INS just deporting 1,500/yr. However, as a result, there are now 600,000 and mayor Bloomberg is likewise helpless to do anything. So looking the other way made the problem worse. And, who are these law-abiding immigrants, anyway? Is he talking about the identity thieves?

Hell, we won't need the democrats any more!

The Dems will probably make a leveraged buyout of the GOP before this is over, since there is now a clear synergy between the two organizations.

So long as there is no border fence, there's very little that the Mayor of New York can do about the influx except to ride the tide of it. I have not heard from Giuliani yet on what he would do about that.

The borders are going to be an issue - however the Democrats will come down on the side of lax borders every time because they gain voters out of it.

Of course, Rudy had no problem taking away an enumerated right from long-term NYC permit holders, so excuse me if I raise the point that Rudy's newfound love of federalism and limited government doesn't mesh with his past actions.

If Rudy is the nominee, I will have no choice but to leave the Republican party, since the Republican party will have left me.

I'm gonna have to create a database of Rudy's liberal views and actions. My old brain just can't keep track of them all.

The issue is ILLEGAL aliens -- not immigration, Mr. Lucrative contracts with Mexico City.

Another sleight-of-hand politician who refuses to extend to us the courtesy to acknowledge that the issue is ILLEGAL aliens, document fraud, ID theft, perjury, and other crimes which, according the Congressman King of Iowa take the lives of twenty-five people a day here in the U.S. of A.

Oh, that is rich. Rudy defied federal law and federal court rulings to keep NYC's sanctuary city policy - a policy that led directly to the murder of a resident of NY - but now has the gall to say this?

And I see he's sucking up to those who want to massively increase H1-B visa quotas as well here. Same crap, different RINO.

I've never endorsed a candidate here on this forum, but I do like what I see of the man known as Hunter. ;)
