Then how about Hunter as a VP for a more experienced GOP presidential candidate? Huckabee/Hunter?

If he can last until the debates his numbers will go up. I will support him. Hunter,Newt,Romney,Rudy in that order.

I don't know any more than anyone else...but I think Hunter can be a GREAT VP candidate.

I, personally, don't think Huckabee has a chance, but Hunter could be a good ballast to Giuliani.

I don't see it, though. Giuliani could pick up both coasts, but he needs a middle.

I'm not sure Mitt would accept #2.

This is going to be a fun election!!

Curious to know why you don't think Huckabee has a chance? I haven't looked into him too much, but from what I have seen, he looks to be an authentic conservative.

I hear you Capt, maybe we can get an 08 Ermy campaign going..LOL. I concur with your other two picks, I watched Mr Hunter on cspan tonight and was very impressed, and from what I know Tancredo I could go for him too. I also like Newt. IMO Rudy and Romney are going to be a tuff sell, I know I won't vote for 'em..

Judging from Mitt's style: He charges fast and hard and never relents. I know Huckabee says that the race is a Marathon, but I think he will be shocked by how Mitt will never lessens his pace. I am not sure he will be the frontrunner, but I am pretty confident that Mitt will survive and will be in striking distance when the primaries come around.

Hunter has about as much chance of getting nominated or elected as I do....in short, no chance at all. Absolutely no one apart from his constituents and people on this forum know who he is. Mitt Romney has a far greater chance than Hunter, and no one knows who Romney is either.

Although many Republicans will disagree with Hunter on this issue, many Democrats find themselves nodding their heads in agreement with what he has to say."

You're the biggest Arnold lackey on this forum. That's amusing coming from you.

Yes, it's very telling how much they seem to panic and try to convince Hunter supporters how he has 'no chance'. If he doesn't I would think they'd be more than pleased he's a 'long shot'. Why waste their time on these threads? They know the more people that get his name in their head and learn about him and then see him in person, the more support he continues to gain.

I find it amusing that you'll defend anything liberal and attack anything conservative. You might just be the new MurryMom for this decade.

I don't like him being shady on his stance in regards to the Iraq war and isn't he for amnesty as well? He isn't looking good as being informed on defense issues. Hunter will put him and the others to shame.

"check this out: " Dear Mr. Reagan, it should be obvious to you now that you can never be elected governor. Please put aside your ego, for the good of our party, and get behind the one man who is moderate enough to appeal to California voters - - San Francisco Mayor George Christopher." Look Magazine"

Great find

You should be so "little." Here's what Donald Rumsfeld said of him:

"It is something when he comes into your office like a whirling dervish and starts discussing a subject first at the national level and then down at the microlevel, and then leaves you pieces of metal on your desk that you can hardly lift and has explained exactly where it goes, what it's for, why it should be there and then wants to know why it isn't. And God bless him for it."

"He's never let the troops down, and as a result of his leadership and his hard work, our nation is a safer place today," Rumsfeld told the dinner gathering that included Gen. Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

You're right, though. He doesn't have the same experience as one-term governor Romney, mayor Giuliani, or Governor Jeb Bush. On the other hand, none of those three have Hunter's experience as an Army Ranger/paratrooper in Vietnam. Some might think that deserves a degree of respect from you.

We had a popular Conservative as POTUSA.
Next was a one term moderate.
Next was a two term traitor, who some people think was conservative.
Next was a two term moderate that squeaked by because the democrats nominees were very bad.
Now some people want a far left winger as the Republican nominee that most real democrats can beat because they can run to the right of any of them.

The democrats are licking their jowls over the hope that Rudy, Romney or McCain will be the MSM and RNC choice for the republican nominee.

The NY MSM are having a field day pimping for these two left wingers, Hillary and Rudy.
Their greatest hope is that their favorite male? and female? are the only choice for POTUS.

Mike Huckabee, a.k.a. known here in Arkansas as the Huckster? PLEASE see the links in my profile page before you consider him for higher office. I implore you. He is not the conservative those outside the state may think him to be. - OB1

He has been in house for 25 years and now he wakes up and wants to be president?

Why hasn't he challenged Boxer for the Senate? She is an embarrassment. It would have been a natural progression for him.
