Rudy's candidacy is just the latest opportunity for them to exercise their anti-conservative agenda.

I agree.

Unfortunately I expect that on Feb 5, 2008 it will be all over, one way or the other.

I've never seen so many grown men cry like women to the forum boss whining "Mommy, mommy, help. They like a Republican I don't like."

Most electable?? Yeah I don't get that..what good is having someone run if they don't stand for anything other than maybe they will be strong on terrorism?

To me, when Republicanoriented voters us the word "unelectable", they are actually saying "conservatism doesn't measure up to liberalism,".

So they're going to start intra-breeding to keep both parties the same? LOL!

Unfortunately, that's how two-party systems work. On the classic left-to-right political spectrum, Americans fall along something pretty close to the classic bell curve. So both parties are scrambling for the middle, because that's where the votes are.

Every so often, a third party -- like the Progressives or the Perotistas -- rises to take on issues that people care about but the two parties have neglected. One party or the other usually absorbs those issues. In multi-party parliamentary democracies, governments are usually formed by coalitions of parties; in two-party democracies, each party is in itself a coalition.

If Conservatives are dissatisfied with the Republicans, the solution might be to mount a third-party challenge. Oh, have no delusions about winning any elections -- George Wallace came closer than anyone in recent history, and he didn't come close. But a third-party run can be a mechanism to get issues taken seriously by one major party or the other. But there's no instant gratification to be had.

To me, the speaker of such a term here means "I am a sissy, and not willing to stand up for my principles." or they never knew what those principles should be.
