I recall that show. The male leading role was goofing off with a pistol he thought was a prop and shot himself in the head.

That's correct. The pistol was indeed a prop and the actor (the name escapes me at the moment) aimed it at his head and pulled the trigger, falsely believing that since it wasn't loaded, that he would be unharmed. But the sharp discharge of concentrated air directed at his temple damaged his brain and killed him. They took him off life support and donated his organs to science. The incident forever changed the way that weapons were handled on film sets.

BTW, the next 'famous' incident of a performer dying on a film set from a gun accident was Brandon Lee, Bruce Lee's son, in the mid-90's when a weapons handler left a partial cartridge inside the weapon, failing to clean the weapon properly before giving it to another actor to aim at Lee and fire.

Re: "Cover Up", the star was Jennifer O'Neill and replacement star Antony Hamilton, an Aussie actor. O'Neill has developed a personal appearance ministry in which she gives her own testimony about her regret over an abortion she once had.

I think we would all be FAR better of, if everyone merely touted the merits of their candidate and not worry about the failures of those you do not like. There is NO perfect candidate. They are just people just like the rest of us.

My problem with Giuliani is his stance on self protection rights. He says he is pro-2nd Amendment and uses firearms laws to get criminals off the street.

When your 2nd amendment rights are trampled to death like they are in New York City, the criminals are the only ones with the firearms.

Rudy Giuliani is also on record that he believes in global warming.

Something Sean failed to ask him in their interview.

I know, and I am appalled at it. If I don't want a certain candidate, I stay off their threads. All have a right to make their cases, but we need not act like the Democrats and I see that we are.

Well, I'd rather have spirited debate, arguing the merits of one candidate over another. As for my part, I'll never let it turn to personal attacks or name calling...though, some here can't help themselves and sometimes do take it personally.

That argument falls on deaf ears to some around here.
