Mitt will win and he'll win the presidency.
His organizational and fund raising skills will overwhelm the others.

I'm not sure why you don't think he's electable. Please, tell us.

But in the meantime he will underwhelm the base. And lose.

He can raise a lot of money but that hasn't been helping him in the polls.
He is still in the single digits in a lot of polls.

I'm not sure the base is that unified in anything. Once they wander in the wilderness they may be more cooperative. Unfortunately that may take another 4-8 years.

Today in Michigan several pols who had endorsed Romney are flipping to McCain.
Romney won't win. He doesn't come off as believable in his too recent political conversions.

Very simple: He'll split the base and get smoked by Hillary and the MSM on all of his recent, convenient flipflops.

Media's plan?
I'd say it will be touted by all his primary opponents. And it will be very effective.
If by chance he does win the nomination Hillary will destroy him. She and the media will focus on his religion and his many changes on issues.
If I believed all his conversions I'd be willing to fight for him. But I just don't care enough to do so. I'm looking elsewhere.
And not to Rudy. He would lose to Hillary too.

OK, enjoy but I think the base will have some work to do to convince the "mushy middle" to vote for their guy. What "base" issues do you think will appeal? There is NO winning by losing - that's what the Democrats want us to do.

OK, so Romney will lose because of his religion. And Rudy will lose to Hillary because you say so (and because it's too hard to spell his last name). What issues in particular will the great conservative savior candidate offer that the mushy middle will vote for?

I didn't say Romney will lose just because of his religion.
If he would have been the guy, in his past political life, that he claims to be now, he'd have the nomination wrapped up in no time. And he could even win. Remember Kerry? How he took so much heat for his flipflops? It would be used in the same way with Romney..
Rudy will lose because of his pro abortion views. There isn't a chance that a pro life guy will run as a third party candidate. The third party guy won't win of course but he will take enough votes away from Rudy.
And that is just my personal political opinion!

Rudy will lose because of his pro abortion views. Bush handled it by saying he was against abortion but didn't want to change the laws because people weren't ready for that. Instead he suggested changing people's hearts. The Mushy Middle who don't want to make abortion illegal ate this up and went for it. If the base insists on putting up a hard abortion must be illegal everywhere candidate, Hillary's soccer mommies and their naughty duaghters are going to bury us. Watch and see.

Ok, I know it isn't "cool" among so many to be Christian but I am. I am "Mormon" as is Mitt Romney. What is wrong with that? Is it because of our strong belief in the Constitution? Our great patriotic feelings? Our strong moral stands? Our belief in the importance of the family? Which of these beliefs is the one that is so wrong?

Do you think Romney is a RINO?
look at this FR thread: Romney Never was a "Liberal" . . . No, not even close.
Read Romney's campaign flyer from 1994. Out of 24 issues, Romney comes down on the conservative side for 23 of them. That's 95.8% conservative, 13 years ago.
It looks like conservatives are trying to throw away the best opportunity they're going to have in Mitt Romney. Of the 'big 3', Guiliani, McCain, and Romney, Romney is clearly the most conservative.
I'm glad Rove so brainwashed the idea of 'flip-flopping' into our minds that we now misuse it against our own side.
