McCain is going to be insufferable in the Senate if the Republican party rejects him in 2008.

Impressive for Rudy- a guy from New York leading a southwestern politician (McCain) in Texas.

Nope. He's the only lower tier guy that will rise to the upper tier. Mark my words.

If I remember correctly he is up for reelection to the senate in 2008 to. It will be an either/or proposition for him.

Well, McCain is a known entity now. McCain-Feingold marked him as willing to trample on the Constitution for political "fame". This, combined with too much playing of both sides of the aisle, will keep him down with informed conservatives.

No way pissant, not enough time and money. He will be done before Super Tuesday because the money will start going only to the frontrunners, ie. the winners in the early primaries.

McCain is going to be insufferable in the Senate if the Republican party rejects him in 2008. Absolutely. He was insufferable after the party rejected him for the nomination in 2000, voting so much more lib than usual for the next two years that he chalked up the sixth most liberal voting record in the Senate.
I figure there is a good chance he'll go caucus with the RATS if he doesn't get the nomination--just like he looked into doing after he lost in 2000.

IMO, It says 72% want a leader with conservative values. That is kind of low.
