I agree. I add to that thought, the dems will go a step further to remove him from office even if he has one day left to serve as president.

"How long have you been following Feinstein's career?"
From afar. So I don't keep up with the daily, weekly, whatever of her and Babs Boxer, the other uberliberal.

Yes, in the zeitgeist for taking big business campaign donations hand over fist and thus doing their bidding unquestionably, its come to this - you are now on the side of Diane Feinstein.
But you should not be surprised - the Bush administration a year ago was attacking you even if you had the slightest question about the Dubai ports deal, allowing people like Chuck Schumer to position themselves as strong on national security.
Totally myopic.

I meant it as a cautionary remark. My point is that we are better people than them. They are the ones that can never find anything good to say about their political opponents and we should never let that happen to us.

They are the ones that can never find anything good to say about their political opponents and we should never let that happen to us. I did not impugn her in any way. I am from Ca. originally and have followed her for years. I simply question her motives based on what I know of her past. We'll see in time if she does something true to her words or just use this a grandstanding issue.
Again I hope she does get something accomplished for these guys. It certainly does not to appear that there was any justice served in this case (except for the illegal )

Thank you, texastoo, for sending the Feinstein letters to SwinneySwitch. Y'all have got a great border security network there in southeast? or southwest? Texas. Keepin' an eye on us here in Mexifornia, too....:)

My gut reaction is that she and the Dems are going to use this to bash Bush and that is the only reason for her speaking out.Generally, I'm against Bush-bashing, but on pretty much all immigration issues, the Bush administration has brought it on themselves.

"The administration would do well to clean up their act on this."More damning information with every layer that is peeled back. If this gets any worse, the refrain will be "Ruby Ridge, Waco and Compean/Ramos".

I was thinking, maybe some of the agents family members petitioned the Senator to take up their cause. I don't know, but perhaps one of the families of the agents lives in California. If so, it would make sense for Feinstein to come to the aid of one of her constituents

Have you seen the letters D. Feinstein has written the AG, Gonzales,Homeland Security, Cheroff and the Federal Prison Department?
She asked excellent questions.

Have you read the transcripts? They answer questions, too.
Notice the pardon/impeach crowd isn't talking about them?

Exactly the thread I spoke of.
The testimony upholds the jury's conviction, hence the slim and toned down rhetoric.
