My point was that being in the circles he has been in in the past 15-20 years, and living where he has probably lived, and by the way he conducts himself (which I assume is the way he has for some time), I doubt that a cabdriver would have any more concern about picking up Obama than he would picking up me. I understand what he was alluding to -- the experience of a lot of blacks who can't get a cab to pick them up, justly on unjustly, because they are black or because of where they live or because of where they might want to go. There was a big controversy around here a few years ago on that very issue. Cabbies were getting shot and robbed in black neighborhoods and other drivers refused to go there. I ran into that myself recently, when I called for a cab to pick me up in my more-or-less white neighborhood on the southside, and the driver hinted that his company didn't usually go "that far south."
I really doubt that Obama has run into this recently, and I think he was trying hard to establish his credentials in the "black experience" which a lot of blacks evidently think he lacks.

No. I saw it on cable once, it was Tim Robbins characterizing a conservative politician with every cliche that a liberal moonbat sees in conservatives.
She implied, of course...the trick is to plant the seed inside of people's heads without having the words actually come out of her mouth.
Undoubtedly you've heard that if he's not elected, it just means that America isn't "ready" for a black President. I don't need to have anyone explain to me when I'm being called a racist...and I don't need to be told when someone is playing the race card.

The main thing I don't like about the woman is the guy she seems to be supporting for President.
It has nothing to do with color, that's just ridiculous. He's a liberal and too mixed up with Muslim thinking no matter how much he would deny it.
Did they think to ask her, "Shot by whom?". Another black man, of course. But she would not dare say that.
I'm not demonizing her, all I said is that she has a very Joker-like static smile and doubted the validity of that rumor of her selling drugs in her younger days. That's in no way a judgement, just an observation. Honestly, I respect my elders and think Mrs. Bush is probably the sweetest woman in the world even if I don't agree with her husband. It was a response to everyone saying Mrs. Obama is not "First Lady" material. As if there were such a strict standard for this type of thing.
Stating fact isn't necessarily "playing the race card."
If I say, "75% of black kids are born to unwed mothers," I am NOT "playing the race card."
Perhaps she should get in touch with Mrs. Kerry and get some pointers on how to act in public over a bowl of gin soaked raisins.
It's tough for Democrats, -no matter who they are- during campaigns. They have to act normal 24/7.
