I would challenge any FReeper to go to Obama's church's website, and perform one simple exercise: Exchange the word "white" with every incidence of the word "black."

That will be all you need to know about what an un-Christian racist pit Barack Hussein calls home.

If he needs to emphatically say that he takes his faith "seriously" then I question his faith in totality.

Amen.

Christianity is deeds, not words.

Yeah well Osama also takes the Christian faith seriously too. Enough so that he and Islamic radical "mullahs" want to exterminate it.

"Obama continues. "...and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people.

The connection that you mention, osama, is being imposed on the people by the brute force of tyranny. Proof we are not connected as people is the existence of sovereign nations with their unique history, culture, religion and race. No, we're not connected, and it does not take a village - it takes many villages. Go back to your own!

He takes Christian faith seriously.

Everytime obama lies...his ears grow.

"I don't want this guy in the White House.

Neither do I.

Let's hope this obama character coming into the political arena and debate will serve as a warning to others in the future who are intent on "transforming" our Christian, Western culture that our forefathers fought for and carved from the wilderness.

I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power...

A church believes that? Translation:...in other words, Islam works, too, I just can't say so.

(okay, I'll stop being vindictive now)

"I believe that there are many paths to the same place, "

I don't think Jesus said anything like that.

1. Commitment to God
2. Commitment to the Black Community
3. Commitment to the Black Family
4. Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
5. Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
6. Adherence to the Black Work Ethic
7. Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
8. Disavowal of the Pursuit of "Middleclassness"
9. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community
10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions
11. Pledge allegiance to all Black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System
12. Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System.

The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:

1. A congregation committed to ADORATION.
2. A congregation preaching SALVATION.
3. A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION.
4. A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.
5. A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION.
6. A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.
7. A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA.
8. A congregation committed to LIBERATION.
9. A congregation committed to RESTORATION.
10. A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY.

It's far more about Black than it is about Christ. Scary.

If he takes his faith seriously, why does he support abortion?

We're talking about the United Church of Christ, which is not exactly a hotbed of evangelical fervor. BTW, readers should be careful to confuse Obama's "church" with the Churches of Christ (no "united"), which have a perfectly legit expression of Christianity.

"I think the majority of voters know that I'm a member of the United Church of Christ, and that I take my faith seriously."

No where does he say "I take my Christian faith seriously." This sentence seems odd to me - lawyerese or Clintonese.

Whatever they are, they are not a true Christian church. They ARE clearly a front to advance a black activist agenda. I smell the stench of Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson in Hussein's church.

I believe we are all children of God first, Americans second, and after that nothing else matters...certainly not the color of your skin.

Sounds this so-called church ain't a church afterall, but a racist anti-white organization. I'm not surprised.

From the UCC website:

Trinity United Church of Christ adopted the Black Value System written by the Manford Byrd Recognition Committee chaired by Vallmer Jordan in 1981. We believe in the following 12 precepts and covenantal statements. These Black Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever Blacks are gathered. They must reflect on the following concepts:

Commitment to God
Commitment to the Black Community
Commitment to the Black Family
Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
Adherence to the Black Work Ethic
Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
Disavowal of the Pursuit of "Middleclassness"
Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community
Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions
Pledge allegiance to all Black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System
Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System.
The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:

A congregation committed to ADORATION.
A congregation preaching SALVATION.
A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION.
A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.

A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.
A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA.

A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY.

A mix of black racism and communist economic class-based economic theories, with a pinch of Christian verbiage for IRS cover.

The Black Value System is the most racist thing I've ever read. Yeah, Barak would make a nice, black-supremist President.
