I'm interested in real justice, not some legalistic PC justice. This guy was dirty big time and if our border guards want to shoot him in the butt, back of the head or any other part of his scumbag anatomy I COULD CARE LESS.You know this piece of Mexican garbage might just as well be bringing in cocaine or heroin as well as pot and I've got a problem with a US border guard shooting him.Maybe you do,I don't !!!

btw, Duncan Hunter (and others) read the transcripts and toned down his rhetoric.

The law matters.

Reading the report, one easily understands why the jury convicted the two agents of almost all the counts they faced. Reading the report, one easily sees that the revisionist version of events being peddled by the agents and their cheerleaders is a patent fabrication — as different from the stories Compean and Ramos were telling in the aftermath of the shooting as night is from day.

McCarthy is too funny! He is lauding a report that is basically a long winded account of the story, as told by one Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila, part-time drug smuggler masquerading as a commercial trucker, intertwined with conveniently redacted names and whole paragraphs and pages. The DHS-OIG lists 93 exhibits to this document--but they include only 3. Why?

Oh, and did I forget to mention that the reports author, Ms. Elizabeth M. Redman, Assistant Inspector General or Investigations, is the same LIAR fabricated information in talking to Congressmen, stating that Ramos and Compean were rogue cops and "out to shoot Mexicans"?

Andy, Andy, Andy.... get back to watching Fitzgerald's backside.

Unfortunately it wasn't the latter....

The DHS will get away with lying (perjury).

Did someone from DHS lie during the trial? Who? What did they say? How do you know they lied and the defense lawyers didn't?

I doubt very much Hunter has read the trial transcripts. As of today, they haven't been filed with the court.

Just as you posted earlier, I think people are confusing the DHS-OIG Report of Investigation (ROI) with trial transcripts. Two very different animals.

The ROI is mostly just a rehash of the same stories told by the smuggler, with a few redacted documents thrown. It was prepared after Congress asked for a report and reads very much like a CYA document. Oh, yeah... and it was written by the same LIAR, Elizabeth Redman, who blatantly told falsehoods to Reps McCaul, Poe, Culberson, et al.

[Nobody has read the transcript. There isn't any.]

Thank you. Obviously, the Freeper you responded to hasn't even gotten that far...

This whole case appears now to be a cover-up of a frame-up.

It's all about deflection.. and deception.. subterfuge under the guise of openness... did I mention smoke and mirrors?

.. and folks thought the Clintons and their lackies were good at delay, deny , stall, and divert.

Skinner (their boss) of DHS, admitted they "lied".

Do you want a link?

I hear ya!

Did you know they arrested them both at midnight on a Friday? Cute trick. Then Compean (not the sharpest knife in the drawer, I would guess), waived his miranda rights and ended up getting quized and giving a statement in the wee hours of the morning. Nice way to treat our guys.

Did I mention, that up until that time, no one had even formally talked to them? They interviewed every single other person, travelled to Mexico, gave an immunity agreement to a smuggler, arranged for his medical care.... but no one talked to either Compean or Ramos until after they were indicted and arrested.

"btw, Duncan Hunter (and others) read the transcripts and toned down his rhetoric."

Bullcrap. He's still banging the drum for a pardon, along with 80 others house members who've signed his letter demanding Bush pardon these two agents, all republicans (shocker, the democrats and free traitor globalist are against border agents, is anyone REALLY surprised?)

I read the article, but it seems very long on charges and innuendos and very short on facts.

I still think this whole business stinks.

I'm with the popular opinion in #26. Solves "the problem" when it comes to border defense, and scum removal.

Too bad the border rat didn't cross this guy...Death would have been a welcome relief.

Good work calcowgirl. There are mistakes everywhere from the blatant lies that were repeatedly told to the Congressmen to the big "mistake" a placing Ramos in that gang infested prison down in Yazoo City.

The problem is that every single mistake points in the same direction.

How would you carry out an investigation, let the primary suspects know first so that they can then talk to all the witnesses and "get their stories straight"???????????? I don't have a lot of pity for Compean, but poor Ramos, shows up late, fires one round, the other guy starts spouting off stuff under the hot lights and rubber hoses, he lawyers up and keeps his teeth together. But he goes down with the blabbering idiot. I bet he hates Compean's guts about right now.
