"...Unity does not require unanimity of thought."

Well-said.

See if conservatives turn out for that candidate. Moderates think we should just support a GOP candidate with his social values. To them, principles are a matter of compromise. They just can't seem to undertsand that to conservatives, opposing abortion and the gay agenda are matters of principle. On principles, there is no "middle ground".

There also looks to be plenty of discussion about moving the California Presidential Primary to February 5, 2008. Because that proposal is likely to involve a relaxation of term limits...

NO and NO!

Forty years ago Ronald Reagan said: "Within our tent, there will be many arguments and divisions over approach and method and even those we choose to implement our philosophy. Seldom, if ever, will we raise a cheer signifying unanimous approval of the decisions reached. But if our philosophy is to prevail, we must at least pledge unified support of the ultimate decision. Unity does not require unanimity of thought."

Too bad the California Repubs have no memory. Now look at what we have for a RINO governor. The Repubs should have insisted on Mac.

Giuliani is a "Niche" kind a guy. Great as Mayor of NYC, but as a President? NO. Not a Conservative anyway.

America is majority Conservative, but like all people Conservatives can be confused when elected leaders go astray of their credentials. Republicans did just that (went astray) and earned their reward last November.

Rudy's credentials are quite Leftist, therefore is NOT the man to lead the majority back into the leadership of this Nation.

Never underestimate the depths to which the Clintonoids will stoop to get their gal elected, even if it means orchestrating and manipulating the GOP nomination process to do so.

Nothing surprises me in politics these days.

Look at what befell California and awaits us all.

A belated Happy FReepDay. I note you just had your 6th, Congratulations.

I must admit I deleted a Schwarzennegger rant in favor of bandwidth and sticking to topic in my response.

I never underestimate the "No Holes Barred" Clinton campaign ideology responsible for the 24/7/365 nonstop perpetual political debate we face today, however we cannot achieve our goals by simply winning. The winner we choose will represent whom we are as a Nation, and I don't see Rudy as that representation any more than I read Helen Thomas.

The Rove GOP coming to its fruition.

As predicted, the fruit is rotten.

"new presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani."

Look at it from his supporters' viewpoint:
Rudi will get good reviews in USA Today and
Womens Wear Daily, Cosmo, 'Peep-hole', etc.

That was too facile a response.

The fact is, Karl's minions are going to the RINOs: Giuliani, Romney and McCain. That says it all.

I'm sure it will be played at some point, not sure when but.. depending on the reception which is already being hailed as a warm welcome, it won't take long, I'm sure.

Maybe he's driving Scooter Libby's limo to and from the court house.
