Just breaking now:

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A jail official says a NASA astronaut is being charged with attempted first-degree murder in alleged kidnapping attempt involving a romantic rival.

"Astronut" was how she was referred to editorially by the morning radio clowns here.

Seems appropriate...and very sad....

Reduce the NASA astronaut corps to at least one-half. Male test pilots only.

....uhhhhhhmmmmm....'scuse me....But
aren't these people put through a
pretty intense psychological
evaluation before and *during*
their time at NASA?...

Given the high degree of planning and preparation, it seems likely to me that she planned to abduct her victim using the victim's own car, drive back to her victim's house, kill her and make it look like a break-in.

This was a completely premeditated murder plan that went awry at the critical moment.

Yes, but I think certain standards have lowered to admit fresh out of academy or college "wonders" who carry three majors and specialize in 20 outside activities.

Multitasking on steroids (or uppers) is not healthy for some people.
