Thank you ma'am..
I still have a couple things to add.. the last of the FReepers Vets.. waiting (tap, tap) that maybe one or two more will submit something to me.
VERY COLD here. I took the pups out for a quick pee pee walk. One way to chiropractor & Bible Study tonight they will have a bigger run.. they are off the wall as the outings have been pretty sparse the past few days & they are used to hours of free running.

Morning Meg, seeing you patriotic blue birds makes me know one of the first things I need to do is get more "chow" outside for the outdoor birds.
I put out large amounts of popcorn, bread, crumbs etc each day. I need to get seed today when I have my outings.
I have a large wooden work bench type table about 100 feet back from my house. It is about 12 feet long & 4 wide & 4 high
I brush it off & load it up with various things. Each morning it is about cleaned off. THe cats stick closer to house in this weather & I keep their dishes full so they aren't hungry for wild bird.... playful antics in this weather dont seem to be the rule.

I have to do my dad's also yet, and it will be relatively light in the detail portion..
I am like you. I wish I had been more aware of the importance of asking key questions..

Thanks for Kudos Gee Bee. I really had fun putting this thread together but a short note to the other posters to let you know that my buddy Murphy was helping along the way.
You note all the separate tables? It is not my MO (not intentionally at least). I did again try for the mega border layers (ala Billie).. the sub topics nested within the "mother table" if you will..
Each time I try that it is a mega mess of tables/colors as the formatting fails. You who post these big threads with multi tables KNOW what I mean.I go thru & look for a stray Blockquote, center, td, whatever & then get resigned to just make more "mini" ones.
I think the two people I have noted who do this multi/mega layers to perfection are Lori & Billie, and I am sure they also have their "moments" but their moments are usually corrected, where as mine turn into "DUH - I must be blond " moments

the are gorgeous aren't they.
Most here know about the multitude of severe floods I have had in basement the past couple years.
Mostly my things(books, pix, clothes, artwork) were affected but also a large amount of mom's clothes from the era. I learned being a pack rat from her well.
They were in cardboard boxes.. I am guessing at least 30 dresses. I had intended to gather them all up & donate to one of the little theaters that has period dress storage.
Another project that delay has made impossible to complete to the original goal
Mom did sew but also spent every extra penny "on her back".. she was very glamorous & wore the current fashions well.
Also lost were literally hundreds of sewing patterns, maybe half never cut/used. I noted in doing this thread the high prices many of them go for at ebay.

we are called to be "different"...
I am in an intense Biblical survey.. the study for tonight involves the first 10 chapters of Matthew. including the sermon on the mount & the scripture reference you have here. It is a 3 hour study each week
Such good stuff.
Thanks for sharing the word here Rus

Very nice photos! I love th Boogie Woogie Bugle boy. I love all the movies of this period also. :) They had style and class. None of those young beauties needed plastic surgery after age 30

I have had many a nights looking for a < or a center. When the format changed and we had to put something in for the blockquote, I was up all night wondering why I couldn't blockquote. That was a bummer. Especially since I had that thread done ahead of time. LOL I have to keep it simple. That's my MO ;)
You always create such gorgeous threads (((Dolly))) This is spectacular.

Frankie Laine, the big-voiced singer whose string of hits made him one of the most popular entertainers of the 1950s, died Tuesday. He was 93. Laine died of heart failure at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, Jimmy Marino, Laine's producer of more than a dozen years, told The Associated Press.
"He was one of the greatest singers around," Marino said. "He was one of the last Italian crooners type."
With songs such as "That's My Desire," "Mule Train," "Jezebel," "I Believe" and "That Lucky Old Sun," Laine was a regular feature of the Top Ten in the years just before rock 'n' roll ushered in a new era of popular music.
