I think the press can discuss a case in the UK after an arrest. I think the crown nor the attorneys can discuss the case.
Remember the defense in this case has essentially not discussed this case other than to assert their clients were not guilty and to discuss the non evidence of the DNA. I do not know to what extent motions to the court are public in the UK, but if they are public, then a defense there could have gotten out all the informatin that has gotten out in this case.
This is nothing particularly scarey about this. These are Dims. They are totalitarians. They are ignorant of history. They believe is special rights for groups that vote disproprotionately Dim.
I guess on one level they are scarey. But there is not excuse to be surprised by them.
Didn't know about a gag order. That makes press gossip even more egregious.

Duke should be moved to a new location, beautiful though the existing grounds are. Even though the encroachment of a third-rate town on a first-rate university is slow, it looks to me like Durham has overtaken Duke with its dark underbelly of corruption, incompetence, crime and general immorality and malaise.
The accuser has been dragged through the mud???? You have GOT to be kidding me. And even if you're not kidding me, either way your observation makes me sick.
WHAT? You mean to tell me the panthers weren't there to protest the march????? Come to think of it, they've been awfully quiet lately on this subject - not a peep out of them.
Those ideas are inculcated in them from the cradle. The media enhances it, as do many of our institutions.

As noted by OpinionJournal's James Taranto, Marcotte wrote last month of the Duke rape case that she "had to listen to how the poor dear lacrosse players at Duke are being persecuted just because they held someone down and [sexually assaulted] her against her will -- not rape, of course, because the charges have been thrown out. Seems to me the FA dragged herself through the mud... the press just reported it.
We don't know, because Nifong has her under some kind of house arrest. She can't speaqk for herself, and he apparently poses as her attorney.
Nifong knows that if she ges in front of the media, her response will be along the lines of "For $10,000, I'll go away".
You don't believe in innocent til proven guilty? I suppose you prefer vigillante justice visited on people who cannot speak to defend themselves. All I am saying is that both sides have suffered at the hands of Nifong. Sorry you are sick, but you do it to yourself.
Sorry, but I am more cynical. He's just another Democrat exploiting black people for his own political purposes. She may well be the greedy, lying, immoral opportunist that she is being portrayed as. I don't know. I do know that we have the self-interested view of a well-funded defense and nothing else.

The contents were not found in her vagina. And they only found five intact DNA sources and two other partial sources. None of it was in her vagina however.
