Our librarians wouldn't stand for it here though. This one sure kicked out a kid in a hurry who tried to bring in some pornography on the computer.

Excellent.

And such a typical liberal response: Instead of punishing the scum, punish the entire public by closing the library during after-school hours. Because there's nothing worse than treating different people as if they're actually different. That would be discrimination. Better to shut down the library. That way, we're all equal, like the Constitution says ...

That's ludicrous. Whatever her or his left-wing views (on average), the librarian is also a symbol of civilization and of order, especially to kids -- because a library, even a bad one, is such a symbol. You're also not considering the public here.

Yes. It's supposedly "little" things like this that, when added up, indicate a collapsing culture. It's nothing to take lightly.

I believe there is definitely something to "chemical-inbalances" such as ADD.

You and he might want to look into candidiasis -- excessive yeast in the gut. "The Yeast Connection" is a good book to start with. The 1940's heralded antibiotics, and they kill good bacteria in the gut, allowing yeast to overpopulate, generate toxins, and perforate the intestinal lining. I'll wager he got antibiotics as a child, gets recurring antibiotic treatments now, and eats a lot of sweet and processed food.

The last thing that libraries in my area or the librarians that staff them should be likened to are 'symbols of civilization and order'. Did you read the list of classes I posted?
