Some families have members who break away and never talk anymore. I can see it happening. I have second cousins out there, whom I have never met and never knew existed, until a family update tree was done by one of my second or third cousins; I get confused by the numbering system of that. And PLEASE don't ask me about the once removed bit...I'll have to go look that up and it gets me even more muddled. :-(
