I remember that from past threads on this topic. Wasn't Sen. Sessions actively working on it at one time? I remember there was a FReeper email campaign. We do have Tony Snow interested, and he has plenty of ears to whisper into.

I recall something about Senator Sessions too....
Apparently, it's not as easy to obtain as Barrett makes it seem.

You know, Chucky has never been enamored with the junior senator ever since she parked herself in his state. He just may be interested. If not, we can always try Pete King.

Schumer would try to put a stop to it. Alerting him is not a good idea.

How about your Representative who has the same power to release it, I'm going to mine tomorrow. Viva Fresh Air and Truth!! I think the Breck Girl actually thinks its a compliment and the perfect mascot for the Democratic candidate, The Jackass with those huge ungainly EARS. Whats that olde saying? "I'm ALL Ears!", sorta fits real well.

Just sent a letter off to Cong. Pete King. Anyone have direct contact with the Great One or Tony Snow, besides FReep Mail?

It's worth a try. Unfortunately, I think that anyone who rocks Hillary's boat may end up in the Hudson River.

The first is the cynical theory that we don't really live in a democracy but in a series of autocracies changed at fixed intervals. Thus the inevitable corollary: At the top, power-brokers stick together. I think the "change" is mostly for public consumption - at the end of the day, the people at the top are all on the same team. Somebody simply has "The Talk" with the occasional Sessions or Coburn who tries to raise inconvenient issues...making it clear that if they go too far, they get Weldon-ized at the polls.
It further must be clear to the Republican brain trust that the party is on course to take an even worse drubbing in 2008 than it did in 2006, so they're surely counting future cards. And if they have to suffer a Democrat in the White House, who better than Mrs. Clinton, poster girl for moral ambiguity?
If they weren't actually on the same team, this would be the proper Machiavellian strategy. But since neither Hillary nor her Republican "opposition" intend to deviate too far from The Agenda anyway, the point is moot.

Well, let her try throwing me in the Hudson and East Rivers. It's crazy that we all live in fear of the Bubba mafia. She is an elected official seeking the highest office in the land; someone has to stand up to her one of these days. I don't mean to take it out on you, Panaxanax, but using her words, "I resent" that they keep getting away with murder.

Not a problem, Miss Didi. I agree, let's do what we can to get our hands on those missing pages! Stay well.
