A better choice: heading for Framingham.
I seriously doubt it is a dry run. Aqua Teen Hunger Forcewhile being popular among a very particular crowdis so obscure to most that I doubt real terrorists would even know what the hell it was, let alone appreciate the humor of putting the mooninite on the fake bomb (you have to watch the show to realize just how...well...appropriate that is).
I could well be wrong, I'll admit, and that there are ATHF loving terrorists out there, ready to strike in the mooninites' nameI very much doubt it, though.
That's one of the rumors.
Is Mumbles the Boston Mayor? He was just on and I almost died laughing. I could not understand what he was saying at all! You're killing me!
(Of course, I take it all back if he had oral cancer or something like that.....coz that's not funny.)
Turner Braodcasting seems to be taking responsibility for this-------marketing campaign for Adult Swim animated cartoon..circuitboard...with 4 duracell batteries...
IDIOTS.
Ah, but if you could convince Aqua Teen fans to do this as a joke, while you were interested in the results for your own purposes...well then, you have conducted a dry run while deflecting attention, haven't you?
CNN said it was their parent company - Turner Broadcasting, that placed these 'billboards' a few months ago in an advertising campaign.
Pardon the pun, but if this whole thing is advertizing for something, it has bombed.
Yep. Howie Carr plays sound bites of Mumbles. It is hilarious.
WHAT??? Turner Broadcasting did this? Where did you hear it? Arrest them all, starting with Ted Turner!
One guy with a car could easily hit all those locations in a row, without back-tracking, in about half an hour (not counting the time it took to plant the devices).
I think that's what I'm hearing, also. Are we supposed to be amused? Terrorist threats are now something to use as an advertising tool and make people giggle? I'm feeling ill...
You've got to be kidding me ... they have bomb shows in Massachusetts?
Now I am beyond confused!
I hope some of our sharper FRiends can help me understand what the heck is going on!
"Terrorist threats are now something to use as an advertising tool and make people giggle?"
What was the "Terrorist threat"?
The "Dry Run" claims largely seem to come out when people get frustrated and disappointed when something they hoped was a possible terrorist attack turns out not to be.
In the overwhelming majority of cases, examining the facts of the situation, it ends up having made no logical sense whatsoever for said incident to be a dry run and no conceivable benefit to any sort of terrorists.
What???
My God...if the terrorists have THE FOREIGNER BELT, I shudder to think of the future.
Looks like these guys were behind the guerilla marketing campaign and could be in BIG trouble...
