@#$%ing MSM
Libby has a "story"
While the opposing has testimony.
To: woofie
the jury saw notes Libby took on or about June 12 that indicated Cheney himself told Libby then that the war critic's wife worked at the CIA
Ouch. That'll leave a mark.

The goal here is to get Cheney, not Libby.

He is not accused of leaking her name but rather of perjury and obstruction of the investigation into how her name leaked. This is so sick. The prosecutor had the job of investigating and determining whether a crime had been committed and if so, who leaked the name of a supposedly covert agent of the CIA.
1. She wasn't covert.
2. The prosecutor knew the name of the leaker two days after he got the job.......hint: It wasn't Libby, yet the man who leaked has never been under investigation.
3. The prosecutor, knowing there was no crime, continued to press administration figures, including Libby.
4. This prosecutor is simply a fraud, playing to the liberal elites in Washington who believe that not being a Democrat is a crime.
In the meantime, a real felon, Sandy Berger, goes untouched.......
Sick.

"Miller became a heroine to many press groups when she went to jail rather discuss conversations with a source whose identity she had agreed not reveal."
That's not how I remember it. I thought they hated her because they felt she'd been too cozy with the Bush administration, and had written erroneous stories about Iraq's WMD's that supported the Bush administration's claims. And then she was basically fired from the NYT.
To: woofie
The issue in Libby's case is whether he lied to investigators and the Grand Jury. All the other stuff surrounding the case is probably irrelevant.

I agree. They have pretty much committed no to formally attempt indict Cheney it doesn't mean they won't drag his name through the mud though.

I remember it as you describe it. She was anything but a heroine to the MSM.

Went to a kids basketball game last night. Grandpa of one of the players was a referee. One team ran, literally, 9-15 feet with the ball on every possession before dribbling or passing. Never a call for travelling. Other team was called frequently for "moving off the pivot foot".
This is so much like a rigged game. Berman shreds documents relating to the most potentially explosive aspects of our foreign policy, nobody cares.
Tell me again, somebody, why Ditz didn't resign in disgrace, dropping all charges, when it was revealed he knew who the leaker was BEFORE HE SPENT MILLIONS "INVESTIGATING" this non crime ?

That was my understanding as well.
Miller was friends also with that scientist in Briton that died under mysterious circumstances. Name eludes me, I could search for the article but right now I am making Chili
