The average AA listener.
LOL
"Wrongdoing" is a vague word; what I suspect is something that profits Green. A lot. Since we all know that AA is a huge failure, there must be some reason he's buying it, and that reason is not, imho, to be a knight in shining armor to the liberal cause.
Money down the drain that won't make it to the DNC's coffers.
I think it is much more simple: he now becomes an official Savior of the extreme Left. That will be good for something profitable/political in payback in future. He is just buying himself some more power and street cred within the Progressive Left.
So what does this do to the Dems' so-called Fairness Doctrine?
This guy is smart enough and rich enough he doesn't have to hide his money under his Rorschach stained mattress or swipe some organization like the Boys & Girls Club of New York for extra cash. This guy is a shrewd business man with all the resources and connections to conceal his crime, unlike the previous owner of Air America who figured everyone was too stupid to notice a crime had taken place.
Amen.
Sure. It's called the Tax Code. People who make a lot of money don't pay anywhere near as much money in taxes if they can show a business loss on something. It's complicated and I can't pretend to exactly understand how it works, but a smart tax lawyer can play the tax code like a harpsichord, using various businesses to create an advantageous tax picture. I have known a number of people in a financial position like Green's to acquire some losing proposition like this.
Sooooooooooooo it's switching to a conservative network?
Or will they just do travel shows and auto mechanics?
Senator from Minn.???
Heh---ask Hillary (/sarc).
Gaining political points for a nickel or dime on the dollar.
After SL GREEN fixes air america, maybe he will fix Ford Motor Company? And while he's at it he can save the planet? LOL.
Isn't his brother Mark Green a flaming libtard too?
I read somewhere that he's considering politics (Senate iirc)
"Probably looking for a loss for tax purposes; AA is a good Enron-type vehicle for stashing assets that would otherwise be taxed."
There is another more sinister reason.
With the monitoring of political donations, rich elite limo liberals like Green usually follow the strict guidelines re $ limits.
However, by investing in the PR arm of the DNC, to keep it alive, he can send dump trucks of money in to keep it on the air spewing the DNC lies, spins and wet dreams.
How many elite limo liberals buy and keep NY Slimes, Washington Compost and TRB stock to keep these dinosaur fishwraps alive.
Soros, Green, and others are evil and smart.
They setup foundations to avoid paying taxes which provides many other benefits like unlimited political spending on their issues.
It is also a handy place for illegal contributions to be paid from communists, crooks, dictators, and other friends of the democrats.
Very good point on your part.
Still a loser no matter which may he cuts it.
I hear Al Franken is leaving AA to become a shoe salesman---he developed a "thing" for feet working at AA.
Now that is an incredible quote! Thank you, that made it into my "list" of quotable quotes...
