"It seems," said Republican leader John Boehner (news, bio, voting record), R-Ohio, "over the last three weeks that the more we reach out and offer our hand of bipartisanship, (the more) it is slapped away."
Well duh? But not to worry...I'm sure that reaching out in the spirit of bipartisanship will work just fine when ya'll start talking immigration reform.

I guess that it is time for the gutless to kiss ass of the nasties a bit more. Perhaps they'll get the job of cleaning latrines on a permanent basis.

Bipartisan and DemoRat represent an oxymoron...but in the case of the mutual survival goals of the political class, they will show "bipartisanship" when it comes to giving America away to forign illegals and other globalist objectives.

Good. Then all bad legislation passed can be placed on the backs for the Sociocrats.

There are several well-known precedents.
The French Revolution was immortalized by the slogan, "Liberty, egality, fraternity," but as soon as they secured power, it was, "Off with their heads."
The Russian Revolution was fueled by the notion that, "From each according to their abilities to each according to their needs," but as soon as they secured power, it was, "Off with their heads."
In modern times, they figure the mainstream media will come up with some appropriate political correctness so they can just do what they do best, "Off with their heads."

Welcome to the reality of being the Minority Party in the US House.
Really hope the 1 issue whiners, "win by losing clowns" and the rest of screaming idiot Know Nothings in the mis named "Conservative" Alternative Media who brought us to this point enjoy the next 40 years as the Minority Party.
Wake up children, 70% of something is WAY better then 100% of nothing. All this continually squealing and whineing at your OWN side buys you is political irrelevance. A fact the Republican Leadership finally seems to be waking up to. This rabid 100%erism of the Talk Radio Generation almost cost us 2004, it did cost us 2006 and it will cost us 2008.
Nothing in life, certainly NOTHING in politics is ever perfect. Time for the Always Angry Caucus to finally grow up.

"It seems," said Republican leader John Boehner (news, bio, voting record), R-Ohio, "over the last three weeks that the more we reach out and offer our hand of bipartisanship, (the more) it is slapped away."Proof of why we are in trouble: we need leadership, not "new" leadership!

Now Republicans, newly demoted to the minority, say they are the ones suffering abuse despite repeated Democratic promises... Good heavens, this is pathetic. The Republicans lost, so suffer!
It so digusts me when Democrats whine about losing elections, and we should be bigger than that.
To: NormsRevenge
You gave your base the finger and now whine over the consequences.
Cry me a river.

The dems lied? I'm shocked! Shocked, I tell you!

Nothing new about this. Why else do you think that the were crying "bipartisanship" all the while that the congress was spending money like drunken dems, and President Bush was signing the bills into law.
