I have a novel idea. How about racing a stock car with a roll cage and a hopped up factory engine?

Shades of 1956 when we were racing for Ford and the 3 automakers got together and pulled all team sponsorship in 1957.

Hard to fathom them kind of numbers, that is a chunk of change. Congre$$ spends that much in a couple days or so.

Didn't even see it coming, I was going to put a car together for myself out of parts when jerked the rug.

We had enough parts to build 3 or 4 cars in the shop and Ford sent in a big semi a took them all.

It was getting out of hand, according to that Ford pipsqueek Ralph Nader from their PR department their tire bill was over $500k for the year.

I agree completely.

Looks to me like NASCAR has crapped in their own play pen by making all the teams have identical hand made bodies and the only difference is the engines.

See...I told you so. The time is fast approaching when Nascar will be hard pressed to field 43 quality cars for a race...

"Hybrids :-\"

Gack! Hybrid race cars! They'd have to play pre-recorded sounds of real race cars over the PA system!
