I kept thinking she either needs better contact lenses or talk to her doctor about dry eyes.

Since the threshold is $15,000.........per insured family......I don't see how there can be any employers offering more expensive coverage. Never mind that the states pay for sex change operations for prisoners, etc.

I'll agree that's the vast majority of plans constitute less than $15K in premiums right now. However, at the current rate of price increases how many years will it take before the reverse is true? I highly doubt any law would be indexed to the healthcare market.

MN congresswoman can't keep her hand off Bush

Newly-elected Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann got quite a bit of face time with President Bush after his State of the Union Speech Tuesday night.

While the President was signing autographs for members of Congress after the speech, the sixth-district Republican put her hand on Bush's shoulder. However, it wasn't just a tap. After he signed an autograph for her, Bachmann grabbed the president and did not let go for almost 30 seconds.

After signing the autograph for Bachmann, the president turns away, but Bachmann doesn't let go. In fact, the video shows her reaching out to get a better grip on him.

Bush then leans over to kiss another congresswoman, but Bachmann is still holding on. Bachmann then gets more attention, a kiss and an embrace from the president. A few seconds later, Bachman's hand finally comes off the presidential shoulder.

I agree with you, but I don't think some of Bush's finer points will be lost on the American people. At least not the ones who actually bother to vote.

Yep. Most people have ceased to listen to anything other than the voices in their own heads. Even a lot of folks around here. They cry for a "true leader" but don't actually recognize one when he is standing right in front of them.

I take great comfort in the fact that exactly the same thing happened to President Reagan in his final years as President. Of course you'd never know it now because he's perceived as a huge winner...so everyone is on his team. I am confident that someday, the same thing will happen regarding this President.

Why is it classy to be more than minimally polite to scummy people? IMHO it cheapens the honest kindness you extend to good people.

Just what the doctor ordered: a fresh, cool "drink of water". Thanks!

Thanks for sharing the link - didn't see that on the news. Michelle is a fabulous conservative very strong on issues. Unlike many other candidates, she welcomed President Bush to campaign with her and I believe he was here at least twice on her behalf.

She is very pro-life, pro-marriage tax attorney.

The jokes in the MSM were endless re Reagan's "hollywood" persona and his supposed lack of intelligence. Also, they put Reagan and co. through the ringer re Iran/Contra. Now Reagan is touted as being one of the best POTUS's of the century and is credited in large part for the end of the Cold War. History has a way of putting things in perspective.

IMHO, the Clinton administration's lack of policy and action re international terrorism and intelligence gathering, allowed international terrorism to mushroom to unbelievable proportions.
