I asked the same question...of the same poster..and got no answer.

I guess it was a drive-by...and he won't explain his nasty remark.

And I am relistening to the speech again. Seeing and hearing things I didn't catch the first time around. Talking about up or down votes on Judges. Let's see the Dems give their prized bipartisan support to his Judges! HA!

[Laura, Condi and Lynn--a little lipstick, string of pearls, kind spirits, smarts and sheer class. Stunning.]

I agree, there is no substitute for class. Laura, Condi and Lynn did, indeed, show how it's done.

DrDeb didn't attack Reagan -- she was merely pointing out that there were unreasonable "conservative" haters in 1987 just like there are now. And, on the evidence of this thread after her early post, if anything she misunderestimated how much Bush Derangement Syndrome there is around here.

The argument that GWB is a phony conservative compared to RWR cuts no ice with me. IMHO the Gipper would be IMMENSELY PROUD of the brave efforts of GWB these past six years. Both men were above all practical politicians who accomplished much in part because they didn't believe ideological purity works for Presidents in this country.

It is clearly a $7,500 tax credit, as I understand it thus far.

Thanks SW. I did not listen to Webb either. In fact I simply cannot listen to any democrat speaking, why wreck my nerves.

"I don't know what was worse, Pelosi's constant eye blinking or the weird things she was doing with her mouth."

And then Webb pulling out a picture of his DADDY. Please, the RATS can all pull out their family trees try to prove how patriotic they are, however the country saw one thing tonight. When it came to VICTORY, the DEMS sat on their hands.

Charlie Gibson said the third highest search on Google tonight (after the basketball player, and Baby Einstein) was earmarks.

Cool. Maybe people will find some of our threads here on FR. EARMARKS! EARMARKS! LOOKEE HERE GOOGLERS! JOHN MURTHA IS THE KING THIEF AND HE MUST BE INVESTIGATED NOW!

Ah, the supreme Bushb.t returns. The avid backer of Ehud Olmert, whose popularity in his country of Israel now stands at 14%. But you said he was just great for Israel, didn't you. Just like you think Bush is just great. Maybe another mistake in judgment on your part? You are about the last person whose opinion I would give credence to.

ROFL! I knew you'd say that! You sure do hold on to spouting old lies whenever you get painted into a corner. This is the third time you've accused me of being an Olmert supporter and that I think "he was just great for Israel". I called you out on it earlier today but as I suspected, you didn't respond when I finally confronted you. I could say more, but I won't.

Nothing he said is going anywhere; NOTHING. Most of what he has proposed, even when the GOPers supposedly held a slim majority, went nowhere, as well. But do I like a lot of what he said, tonight, yes, I do.

"I'm all for any plan that moves health insurance out of the government and corporation hands into the hands of the indivdual."

Go tell that to all the people who would get taxed if Bush's plan were to go through, which it won't, as it is DOA. You don't correct one bad act (you're having to pay w/after tax dollars, by taxing those who do have a good healthcare plan. That's income redistribution, no matter how you cut it. We have one thing in common though. I too, like Duncan Hunter.

He's been a huge disappointment.

Probably exactly what Saddam was thinking when the floor disappeared under his feet with that noose around his neck.

When it came to VICTORY, the DEMS sat on their hands.

I couldn't bear to watch the commentary afterward, but did ANYONE (besides Rich Lowry) remark on this???

Thanks, but that poster just hit me the wrong way when I went back and read his entire rant.

Ah....so you were given the threads to read about he proposed health plan, and now you are bailing? Can't be bothered to read the information?

I guess it's just easier to insult people, rather than use your brain.

Tsk tsk.

What about people who decide to just pay for their own health care, rather than buying insurance? What about people who don't really need health insurance, but need something else? Why should some specific expenditures be tax deductable, but not others?

Some people are milking the system by getting "health care plans" that pay for so much they aren't "health insurance", they are just transfer payments, Like I said elsewhere, a plan that pays for 100% of your dental care, including all the normal checkups, isn't insurance, it's just a transfer payment to get to buy the treatments with pre-tax dollars.
