In addition to the "elder" FReepers and those who broke the Rather story, Jveritas is one of the greatest Americans to grace our presence on FR.
It is a privilege to know him and his invaluable work in translating documents leftover by Saddam's regime.

I felt so glad I didn't turn on the TV tonight but instead cleaned up and listened to the radio, thus accomplishing 2 things at the same time! Plus, I didn't have to have a barf bag handy in case the cameras panned to Hillary, Teddy, Nancy, or anyone else who I really cannot stomach! I think some of the comments here are insightful, but many others are petty and unworthy of further comment. We live in grave/possibly the end times and atleast we have someone in office who understands the gravity of these times. I will continue to pray for this nation, for our leaders and mostly that people will search out for the truth of salvation and for the love of our Lord Jesus Christ! Have a good evening...

If I was sitting with Russert when he said that, I would have said "well then, if everybody wants to see her, why isn't she giving the democrat response?"

Just checking in...do you think you'll be able to locate those rants tonight, or should I check back tomorrow? It's starting to get late here in the East.

I'm doing better for my family the last six years compared to the previous eight. The business that I'm in is doing better since 2001 than between 1992 and 2000.

In my opinion the economy is doing fine.

I have held the opinion since 2003 that the Iraq operation will not be near resolution until at least 2010. I support the operation in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We are defeating surely and certainly the Islamic Nazis.

I live in a state that has significant south of the border migration. I have my opinions about the situation and they don't necessarily parallel the President's view. But I overall consider the migration minimal danger to the nation as compared to other threats we face. I just don't worry about south of the border illegals working as maids and laborers wanting to nuke an American city for the Jihad of it.

Carter failed us miserably and the man has proved in his old age to be a miserable failure.

Clinton was and still is a con man, a thief, a two bit petty criminal that really should have had jail time rather than being an ex President.

President Bush, like it or not, has said what he would do or wants to do and tried to accomplish those considerations.

And given these tough times in a war with Islamic Nazis he has done well leading the nation in both domestic and foreign policies.

I really don't think North Korea becoming a rogue nuke state 55 years later, opposed by its sponser state, China, was predictible. Rogue states come and go.

You are telling me to be original? Have you had ONE original thought all night? You don't like the President. We get it. There are plenty of other places you can post to your heart's content without insulting people on this forum.

I'm one of the incredibly few on this thread that DID post an original thought, like analysis of Bush's health insurance plan, the fact that his speech hit all the Democratic talking points (w/the exception of Iraq), and none of the Pub ones. Where was lowering taxes? Instead it was via the tax code, raising them on people w/good insurance plans to pass the taxing onto the "poor" people who don't have them via tax breaks. What I heard was Bush talking about education, immigration reform (amnesty), health tax breaks for the poor, global warming. Now, what did you hear? Where's your original thoughs, hmmmmm? Got any?

Webb's an 80s "republican", and the guys on Fox seem to like that about him. It's one of the things that made running against him hard -- every attack pretty much backfired as people thought we were democrats attacking a republican.

2294, 2297 and a few posts above (especially CharlesWayneCTs, ends with tax fairness, sharing the costs vs. distribution), are quite informative. Can you share on those three positions and give me your view based on them?

Being able to listen to and comprehend a speech while also noting the facial and physical responses of those who are listening to the speech isn't a difficult thing for intelligent people to do. It is also quite common for people to discuss all of those factors after the speech has been given. You've probably never taken a public speaking class, so perhaps you aren't aware of this. A critique on any speech can, and normally does, include all of these things.

Apparently, you didn't see it when the cameras caught the smirking, pissed Hitlery!

Ha! Ha! Actually the only time I did see her on camera, she was indeed smirking while Bush was talking. I can only imagine her facial expressions during the whole speech, but facial expressions aside, she's done something to make herself appear more youthful.

(A pact with the Devil perhaps)

I love how Reagan is now attacked with the kind of fervor on FR that I would expect to see on DU. You should be ashamed of yourself, but I doubt you're capable of such.

Although I don't like anything Obama stands for, he is positive and presents himself very well. He comes across a lot better than Hillary.
