Millions Died
"I suggest you read Bush's health insurance plan yourself and make up your own mind as to whether it is redistributing the wealth or not, because it it."
Do you have a link to the plan? If so, please post it...along with your own plans to solve our health insurance problems and the mounting health care costs and entitlement programs that are driving the small businessman out of business and the large corporate employers overseas!!
Tight game? We're supposedly the most powerful nation on earth and we let the third-world push us around, and it pisses me off.

I posted the following statement to our front page in response to the criticism I'm receiving lately as to not being fair and balanced and perceived mistreatment of trolls and assorted malcontents. Got news for all, I'm NOT fair and balanced. I'm biased toward God, country, family, liberty and freedom and against liberalism, socialism, anarchism, wackoism, global balonyism and any other form of tyranny. Hope this helps.
Statement by the founder of Free Republic:
In our continuing fight for freedom, for America and our constitution and against totalitarianism, socialism, tyranny, terrorism, etc., Free Republic stands firmly on the side of right, i.e., the conservative side. Believing that the best defense is a strong offense, we (myself and those whom I'm trying to attract to FR) support the strategy of taking the fight to the enemy as opposed to allowing the enemy the luxury of conducting their attacks on us at home on their terms and on their schedule.
Therefore, we wholeheartedly support the Bush Doctrine of pre-emptive strikes on known terrorist states and organizations that are believed to present a clear threat to our freedom or national security.
We support our military, our troops and our Commander-in-Chief and we oppose turning control of our government back over to the liberals and socialists who favor appeasement, weakness, and subserviency. We do not believe in surrendering to the terrorists as France, Germany, Russia and Spain have done and as Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton and the Democrats, et al, are proposing.
As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America.
We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty.
Free Republic is private property. It is not a government project, nor is it funded by government or taxpayer money. We are not a publicly owned entity nor are we an IRS tax-free non-profit organization. We pay all applicable taxes on our income. We are not connected to or funded by any political party, news agency, or any other entity. We sell no merchandise, product or service, and we offer no subscriptions or paid memberships. We accept no paid advertising or promotions. We are funded solely by donations (non tax deductible gifts) from our readers and participants.
We aggressively defend our God-given and first amendment guaranteed rights to free speech, free press, free religion, and freedom of association, as well as our constitutional right to control the use and content of our own personal private property.
Despite the wailing of the liberal trolls and other doom & gloom naysayers, we feel no compelling need to allow them a platform to promote their repugnant and obnoxious propaganda from our forum.
Free Republic is not a liberal debating society. We are conservative activists dedicated to defending our rights, defending our constitution, defending our republic and defending our traditional American way of life.
Our God-given liberty and freedoms are not negotiable.
May God bless and protect our men and women in uniform fighting for our freedom and may God continue to bless America.

You've .. GOT .. to .. be .. kidding!!
Apparently, you didn't see it when the cameras caught the smirking, pissed Hitlery!
lmao.....yes he does!
ROFL!!!!! Priceless .. and true .. LOL
Amen!
Too bad your new term never took. I must admit to never having seen it before.
I disagree with the characterization of even tax treatment as "income redistribution". Why shouldn't every citizen who pays taxes get the same deduction, and what is "redistributing" about saying that a tax deduction will only be available for the first X-thousand dollars you spend on your health care insurance?
Most everything I buy for myself, I buy with post-tax dollars. When the government gives tax breaks, sure I'll use them, but they smack of social engineering, trying to bribe me into doing what THEY want.
For example, you can get a tax deduction for buying a hybrid care, but not for the full price, only for part of the cost of the car. And only the first 80,000 sold by each manufacturer, so they aren't encouraging people to OWN the cars so much as paying off each manufacturer when they get around to MAKING the cars, by making it easier for people to buy them.
But it's hardly income redistribution because the guy who buys a lexus hybrid gets a $3000 deduction on a $40,000 car, and the guy who buys a civic hybrid gets the same $3000 deduction on a $20,000 car.
So why is it "redistribution" if one person gets a $10,000 deduction for the $10,000 they pay for a bare-bones health insurance policy, and another person spends $20,000 of their money for a top-notch health insurance and gets to deduct $15,000 of that cost?
Let me illustrate another way. Suppose I pay $15,000 for insurance that includes dental, but doesn't cover braces. So I pay $6000 in after-tax dollars for the braces, which means I had to earn $9000 to pay or it after giving government their 33%.
Another person buys a $21,000 policy that fully covers braces. They only had to earn $6000 to pay for the braces, because their 6000 from an employer-sponsored health care benefit was pre-tax dollars.
Under the president's plan, both people will now get the SAME TAX BREAK. That's not "income redistribution", that's actually TAX FAIRNESS.
And I say this as someone who is quite likely to be paying taxes on my health care benefits.
LOLOLOL~~~~~
I have, but I don't recall that line. I thought it was new.
It's also part of Star Trek lore. Spock's Vulcan nictating menbranes saved his eyesight in an episode from Star Trek-TOS.
BTTT
*sigh* yeah. Dumb of me.
j"veritas is a patriot and has done more than anyone I know in regard to helping fight the good fight, so please take a few minutes to look into his work regarding recovered documents in Iraq and how we can use them to remain a conservative republic."
DocRock, I do believe I know this is the guy that is translating the arabic docs that were put on-line by the gov't. Good for him and bless him for doing it. However, this is a thread about the Prez's speech tonite, not the good acts of various Freepers. It appears to have been unfortunate for my having chosen his comment out of the hat for me to do my response to about Bush's "health insurance plan." Instead of responding to the idea, the response was to defense of jveritas. That's unfortunate, and appears to be the theme of tonite's thread, short on analysis, long on comments about people, Pelosi's eyes, who stood and who didn't, the facial looks some made, and therefore the speech itself and its contents got lost. That is, until the end, when all of the Bush (I'll say avid supporters this time) cheered and clapped and I maintain heard little of what he actually said. That's my take.
I have to tell you guys. The Democrats kissing John Warner's butt is completely overdone and I plan on calling his office and asking why he wants us to fail in Iraq.
They sure do love a RINO for their talking points!
For the SOTU, he is effectively playing the role of McCain...now that McCain has to hide his true colors for the Pandering Express.
She had the same look on hr face as she did last year
So flag, this is all you had to say in the beginning... with the link:
I suggest you read Bush's health insurance plan yourself and make up your own mind as to whether it is redistributing the wealth or not.

Was that hard? It's called discussion and views. The derogatory comments aren't necessary.
