Do I understand you correctly? You want to pay taxes on your plan so someone who doesn't have health care right now can afford health care at your expense?

My company gives me a free membership in a health club. So every year, I have an imputed income that I have to put on my return, and I pay tax on that income that I never see.
Why should other taxpayers pay higher taxes so that I can get a free health club membership? If an individual has to pay for health insurance with post-tax dollars, why should I get my insurance with pre-tax dollars?
Thanks. Good to hear what's old is new again. That provides some hope that we can rotate through antibiotics forever once we have enough different ones for the bacteria to forget their resistance factors. (Granted, malaria isn't bacterial, but the principle should apply).

Well, I'll attribute your silly comment above to the fact that you've only been a Freeper for a few years (2004), unlike me who has been one since 1998. You've only recently gotten a toehold inside the screen door. Make the most of it and learn something, like the truth, in particular about Bush's "insurance health plan". Ignorance is not attractive.

Well, that would be a trick in itself. Because there are a lot of us who love our country and I stand proudly as one of them. But there is no way he can please me on everything I feel needs to be done. I agree that our borders need to be taken care of and there are a lot of good Americans trying to do just that. Why he isn't as serious on that I don't know, but I live in a democratic state that wants to give free health to all the illegal children. Again don't get me wrong. Children need help, but not this way. Its just another demacultic way to become a nanny state. Let the parents take care of them.
But to get so hateful about our President isn't going to make things better, all it does is split the people, and that is why "WE" conservatives did not win. So now we must live with that, like it or not.
