I did a title search and didn't see this posted. If it's a duplicate, I apologize..

Maybe they'll just disarm the populace... I'm sure that will help.

Who are they protesting too? The police?
The media?
Everyone who lives in da hood KNOWS who the thugs are... a drop of a dime would solve this problem in a fortnight.

The Mayor and Governor can't do anything about it. They're still "stuck on stupid".

Does the U.S. have an exit strategy from this quagmire?

In an unprecedented display of civic outrage over violent crime, as many as 3,000 people marched on City Hall on Thursday, demanding that city leaders stem the tide of violence and calling on ordinary citizens to help make New Orleans safer. How are "city leaders" supposed to "stem the tide?" THEY'RE not the ones that comprise it! The outrage would be better directed at the soul-sucking parasites that ruin whatever culture they infest. It might also be more wisely directed at finding some city officials worthy of their position, rather than re-electing the same tired crooks that got you in that position to begin with!

'Recall Nagin' What? I thought Ray Nagin was 'da man.
Look for more strict gun laws. Why do politicians seek solution in making the defenseless even more defenseless?

The Mayor and Governor can't do anything about it. Sure they can. They'll simply do what they have done in the past, quite successfully. They will simply say:
"IT'S BUSH'S FAULT!" - Then everyone will smile knowingly and go home.

I'm sure that there is popular opinion that our President has something to do with this.

Wow, a protest march. That'll fix things right up....
This is the problem with the welfare mentality. They're too used to sitting back and letting the government take care of things, rather than getting involved themselves.
Does neighborhood watch mean anything??

To: GeorgiaDawg32; All
these same people who are marching and protesting will remain completely silent during a police investigation for fear of retribution..they, as much as anyone, contribute to the problem..IMHO..
