Our generation on earth are one of the last that get old and die. My speculation: By 2,100 mankind will be immortal, either through such procedures, regrowth of a whole human body with your conciencesness re-inserted or a complete virtual existance, perhaps much better then the physical one we currently live in. I agree. I keep joking with my mother that her grandson (my son) will probably live long enough to see the galaxy. Of course she doesn't really believe me.
Also consider that mind uploading will be coming around as well. I'd give it about 50 years. As long as no halting states are encountered (loss of conciousness), it should be a straight road to digital immortality.
