This study is flawed right from the beginning. Being statistically less likely to die in an accident doesn't automatically make you a safer driver. There's plenty of people who cause death and carnage on the highway and come through it with nothing but a bent fender.

I know evolution is a Kryptonite topic on FR but I have witnessed many examples of women who apparently have eyes in the back of their head - they are able to drive 70 mph for extended periods while staring into the back of their minivans to have lengthy conversations with their unruly children.

Exactly. Based on the logic used in this article, if every drunk driver killed himself and two others, the writer could claim "Drunk Drivers Safer than Sober Drivers...Die at Half the Rate".
