Your defense of the government's actions in this case is what is absurd.

My defense? You mean, the jury's verdict. The system worked...the appeal is next.

PRND lives in the socialist cesspool of Los Angeles and supports gun-grabbers. I highly doubt he's ever fired a weapon.

You're 66% wrong, as usual.
It would appear you have no defendable position regarding this thread, as usual.

Then, last Friday, presidential press secretary Tony Snow addressed the issue for the first time, arguing that prior to the shooting, the agents did not know if the smuggler, Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila, was an illegal, and they were unaware he had about 750 pounds of marijuana.

Compean and Ramos say the smuggler had a gun, but no weapon was found.

If this is true, then they behaved criminally.

As much as I hate illegal immigration, we can't allow our border patrol agents to act without accountability to law.

I remember them having a party to celebrate sending a child back to a Godless nation.

Seems they just moved him from one Godless nation to another.

He brought suit to clear his name but the Federal judge basically eliminated his witness list.

Isn't it just handy and dandy for judges to have this kind of power.

OPINION

The legal system is hopelessly broken.

Available to the highest bidder, beholden to the Federal Reserve system to bring more bodies in to leech off of.

Judges: Nope...can't have that witness, not that document, can't ask that, can't say that....ad nauseum

OPINION The legal system is hopelessly broken.

OPINION Committing felonies puts you at risk of the legal system. Don't commit felonies.

Federal judges are complete potentates in their courtrooms. Manny Real, sitting in Los Angeles US District Court, has stretched out a bankruptcy for umpteen years now.

Even the 9th Circus won't rein him in.

Professional courtesy you know.

This is pure B.S.. One of the agents had a knock down brawl with Aldret-Davila. The smuggler then took off. The other agent then went off after him in a chase. Aldrete-Davila then turned around and pointed a what looked to be a gun at the agent. The agent had to be a split second decision and fired his gun at him. Even after a couple of shots had been fired, Aldrete-Davila was still able to escape on foot to the other side of the border. There was some sort of vehicle waiting to take him away. Obviously the BP was not able pursue him on the other side of the border.

Aldrete Davila contacted his "friend" Rene Sanchez after he had escaped to the other side of the border (one or two days later) and told him about his encounter with the BP. Sanchez, (who works for the BP himself) was the one who then contacted the DHS about the incident. It is simply Aldrete-Davila's word (after the fact), and his word alone that he was unarmed at the time.

Now if you actually want to believe that a major narcotics trafficker like Aldrete-Davila was was actually unarmed while attempting to illegally smuggle nearly 800 lbs of narcotics across our border then I have some really nice swampland I'd like you to invest in.

Geez, untwist your panties. I didn't say anything about this guy being armed or unarmed. I merely said if what was reported in the article was true, the agents acted criminally. You can't deny that what I said is true.

Who knows what the true facts are other than those in the court room...... All kinds of stories abound in the news media and on the net.....

Myth: ALDRETE HAD A GUN AND THE AGENTS ONLY FIRED IN SELF DEFENSE

You may prefer parking lot justice.. I'll take the
rule of law and the verdict of a duly sworn jury
which at least can be argued in appeal.
