Murdock forgot to point out that Giuliani forced taxi drivers and pizza delivery drivers to go into crime-ridden neighborhoods or face jail time.

I don't know what the body count is since for those 2 occupations but ordering people to put their lives on the line because somebody's feewings might get hurt doesn't sound very Conservative to me.

But that's just me.

Since you have NO idea, at all, what you're talking about, I'll fill you in, a bit, about that itch on wheels, Donna Hanover.

Rudy did NOT "cheat on her in a very ugly way".

When Rudy was running for a second term as mayor, Donna not only refused to help him/appear with him, she took back her maiden name. All she wanted was the PERKS and fame, that went with being the "wife" of the mayor of N.Y.C.! Mother? Nope, she didn't even take THAT job seriously. She is the one who was bad mouthing Rudy and NO, he was NOT cheating on her, at that time.

When it comes to "thinking about Monica".....Newt is the one who brings that to mind. After all, it was NEWT and ONLY Newt, who was shtupping a government paid secretary, in HIS office, while he was supposed to be running the House and while he was still very much married to his second wife and no, that was NOT his only adulterous activity, during that or any other time period.

He filed for divorce after the rumors of his adultery got out. He moved his mistress into the Mayor's Mansion while still married. You can defend that if you want, but how do you defend gun grabbing and babykilling?

With that kind of crazy logic, are you prepared to put the Arkansas Grifters back in the Oval Office?

Rudy has some excellent qualities. Qualities that I think qualifies him as a good wartime candidate. I do not agree with his stance on abortion, or guns.

I haven't heard a statement from him regarding illegal immigrants, but many here state that he is for amnesty.

Wrong. Rudy "shtupped" Cristyne Lategano-Nicholas (Giuliani's press secretary 1993-99, b. 1965) while in office. He and Newt are both the same on that score. Rudy also advocates gun control and abortion on demand.

I think the Rudy hatred around here is due in equal parts to his record and the fact that he's of Italian heritage / from New York.

I would vote for John Gotti in a New York minute:

1. He was not a scum bag lawyer.
2. He liked guns.
3. He hated the IRS.
4. He was not politically correct.
5. He was good at warfare.
6. His suits always looked good.

So much for the mairda...

Giuliani has been criticized for embracing illegal immigration. Giuliani continued a policy of preventing city employees from contacting INS about immigration violations. He ordered city attorneys to defend this policy in federal court. Giuliani has also expressed doubt that the federal government can stop illegal immigration. In April 2006, Giuliani went on the record as favoring the US Senate's comprehensive immigration plan which includes a path to citizenship and a guest worker plan

judges decide the abortion issue in this country. if he supports constitutionalist judges, that's all I need to know - his personal beliefs and his positions as mayor of NYC on abortion, are meaningless. its the judges.

Judy was his fiance, not his "mistress", at that time.

How do you feel about Regan marrying Nancy, his SECOND WIFE, when she was several months preggers?

Did you read the article? Do you realize that that is Rudy's position as well?

"In 1993, Giuliani ran and won on the slogan “One Standard, One City.” These words guided his administration.

In his first month, Mayor Giuliani scrapped New York’s 20 percent set-asides for minority- and female-owned contractors, and a 10 percent price premium that City Hall let such companies charge above the bids of white, male competitors. "

His Bush-like immigration proposals are no more liberal than the president’s

And that, quite frankly, is no positive.

Nope. He was still married (therefore legally unable to be betrothed, she was an adulterous mistress. And how about that press secretary eh?

HORSEFEATHERS!

And Duncan Hunter has absolutely NO chance of winning the primary; let alone the general, presidential election.

Fine. For those who value life, his position is an anethma.
“I’m pro-choice. I’m pro-gay rights,” Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. “No, I have not supported that, and I don’t see my position on that changing,” he responded. Source: CNN.com, “Inside Politics” Dec 2, 1999

As Giuliani told police cadets on February 16, 1994, “the right to public safety” was that era’s “single most important civil rights struggle.”

This doesn't quite line up with his record. I'm sure Rudy is all for this, as long as he is the one providing the safety, and the citizen doesn't exercise their 2nd Amendment rights to ensure their personal safety.

If a pro-illegal immigration, pro-abortion, gun grabber gets the Republican nomination, I'm leaving to re-form the Bull Moose Party.

It will not be me who puts President Rodham in office, it will be the nitwits that claim to be conservative who are willing to vote for anybody who has an (R) behind his name. Call me crazy if you like, but I do not vote for any candidates who have no respect for the Constitution and I don't plan to change that.
