He should file a complaint with the man's company AND with the police because there was a violent threat. At least then he can get a restraining order against the man.

And the gun another poster suggested would not be a bad bit of protection.

The man is a discredit to the service industry. No mention was made if he stiffed his driver or if he still tipped him for the disservice.

Even a wealthy man is not safe from crazies. I thought it imprudent of him to identify himself as a Jew to a total stranger. Things are changing for Jews - and not for the better around the world.

I'd say report him, call the police, and buy a security system if one isn't owned, and a BIG gun. This kind of thing turns my stomach. I have been blessed to know 3 people of the Jewish faith in my life. One, a Jeweler. My Dad was fresh out of the Marines, no job, no place to stay when he met my Mother. He knew she was the only woman for him. The Jeweler never having laid eyes on my father before took my Grandmothers word that he was a decent and honest man, and let him open an account so he could put my Mothers Wedding Ring on layaway. We still do business 40 something years later with him and his Family. The second, a lovely Lady who could cook like you wouldn't believe. Lord how I miss her Shrimp Salad. The third, one of the best friends I ever had. I could pick up the phone right now and say "I need..." and they'd be there. The nutcase driver has no idea about the people he spews such vitriol about over their faith. God help us all.

I drew my Jewish political lines around who saw the world as victims and those who saw the world as accepting. Victims were right wing.

I would have gone into the airport and called the cops. I would be d@mned if some rasti was going to terrorize me on my ride to the airport. He needs to be fired and deported. I have worn a magen David for over 30 years now. And I don't bother to tuck it under my blouse. I am in the process of converting just now, and I am not planning on hiding; I am planning on fighting if necessary. And I think the time is coming when we are going to have to do just that. This is just awful!

We in California aren't allowed to carry concealed when we go out (unless we're rich actors/actresses/politicians, who are the only ones who can get permission from the sheriff), but I think the author and his wife would benefit most from a gun or two kept in the home (which isn't illegal here...yet) because the taxi driver knows where they live.

In any case, that taxi driver is a danger not only to Jews, but also to anyone else who might disagree with his bigoted ideas. He belongs in jail.

Almost all cell phones are voice recorders at the touch of an external button.

Calling his boss or the cops is not nearly as effective as turning over a recording to the FBI.
