There are Peligro! signs up everywhere...in English & Spanish. My husband used to drop bombs there when we were stationed in Yuma. The illegals did as they pleased knowing the pilots would have to bomb there another time.
And how much money did each aborted mission waste in scheduling, fuel, pay and flight time?
And the coyotes and the vultures cleaned up the mess?
You have no idea... We have to check for "desert pronghorn" before we expend ordinance if someone on the ground hasn't done it earlier in the day (and these animals have the self-critiquin habit of grazing in the bottom of the bomb craters, too bad).
We also have to check for illegals who have a bad habit of using our conex's (the targets) for shade during the day. Why you'd want to sit in a metal container with hundreds of 20mm holes in it, I haven't figured out yet. It must be extra hot around there.
I'll go sit in a conex box on a hot day if I want to know what it's like to be a TV dinner. Seems to me it would be better to stay outside and sit on the shade side of the box. Either way, it's ridiculous to have play crowd control with these clowns. If they wander onto the range, they should be responsible for the risk. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
