Good for you....we got DirecTv a long time ago..when our son still lived at home...because he wanted the NFL and NHL packages...

We don't have those anymore...but, I love DirecTV..(of course when we get bad weather coming in from the southwest...we sometimes lose the signal for a while).

Here is a thread about it....there are weather warning updates all through it.

I just was talking to a freeper that lives a bit north of where I am, and she has ice..and they are saying there it could last through TUESDAY...yikes.

Yeah, I lose the signal with DISH more during a heavy rainstorm than I do with a blinding snowstorm.  Doesn't bother me any because we rarely get rain and get alot of snow. LMAO

The main reason I'm switching is because DISH took away my networks, so I'm without football today, but will have network TV in time for the Super Bowl! :)

Weird thing was I was able to watch football the whole time I was in Denmark. Course I had to stay up late-late-late to watch it, but it was pretty cool to "keep in touch" with the NFL while I was in Denmark. :)

Thank you. Couldn't ever really use it --- too risky for theft or vandalism... but I sure like it for my computer room and I could put outgoing mail in it...LOL.

BTW, speaking of mail, I boxed up my down-filled comforter, covers, comforter carrying bag and pillowcases. They'll be arriving by mail sometime in the next few weeks from Denmark.

There's no big rush on that, since I'm going to start cleaning out the closets in grandma's bedroom and start moving in there by next spring, and the master bedroom will be my room come next spring.

Would look pretty cool even as a conversation piece in the computer room!  I agree, you wouldn't want it to fall victim to "mailbox baseball" or other random acts of vandalism if it was outside.
