My daughter had this duty while she was posted at Ft Bragg.
I will be proud to wear red tomorrow and am pinging NC folks to all do the same.
God bless our military men and women!

I saw a Canadian version of this one, so it's been going around. Still good though...

A real tear jerker!
I just want to tell everyone that the Elementary school that work for has a "wear red on Friday" every single Friday. They even give incentives for classrooms with the most participation.
We also have one "Friday Flag Day" per month. We are treated to either a Boy Scout troop, Girl scout troop, or military Color Guard leading the entire school in the Pledge of Allegiance!
Not all schools are worthless.

It's a moving story. And I hate to be picky about its autheticity (I have seen it countless times). But I do not know any Marine that describes a fellow Marine as a 'soldier.'
Sorry. Just does not happen. And vice versa..

You do realize, don't you -- that a civilian is telling the story. And, not the Marine?

Picky, picky, picky...I sent this to several associates and one responded that it seemed contrived. So what was my response. The fact remains that War Dead do come home to be laid to rest AND THEIR SACRIFICE SHOULD BE HONORED!
Jeez, what the hell is so hard to understand?
How do you ever repay the loss of a father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, niece, nephew, friend, confidant...
You do so by letting their families know that there loss will be remembered in our hearts and prayers.

The Wife, Kids, and I have worn red shirts on Fridays for the last couple of years. I don't know how authentic this version (or any other for that matter) of the e-mail but it is a nice story, and we liked the idea.
