Won't get them. The gubmint is still awash in liberals and they are NOT going to come forward and be TRUTHFUL.
Right, Amelia................. who knows if Bush ties his own hands or if they are tied for him by others.
I don't pretend to know myself.
I just know this country is on it's way out as it is going now.
They were and are basically right.
(jmo)
What to do?
Tell me more...... explain that please.
Give me a break this is typical Democrat playbook stuff... Liberals are in all agencies some still loyal to the Clintons... Just look what happened when Sandy Berger commited what should be classified as the Crime of the 21st Century. We will never know what he destroyed and how that impacted our ability to protect against 911. If the Rats can't rewrite history politically they break the law to do it.... America is just not wise to it yet.
Haven't you look through real old window glass that made everything on the other side look wavy?
:-)
"What to do?"
Don't make this world your home ... play along ... what else can one do??
Apparently the FBI doesn't want to find who is guilty.
I don't know either, but your comment reminds me of the story at the very beginning of the 2000 primaries that he didn't really want to run for president, but was talked into it by others...
I just know this country is on it's way out as it is going now.
I don't feel very optimistic either.
Wonder if the problem is the FBI's history of two way cooperation (or lack thereof). As NYPD said, there are a large number of strrets named after the FBI in NYC- "one Way".
That is a big disgrace. The CIA needs a housecleaning.
"that 22 of 94 files believed to relate to recent press leaks were missing with no indication of who had removed them..."
If these files were classified secret or higher, then someone had to sign for them. And, there had to have been a custodian if they were Top Secret.
Some things may have changed over the years, but someone knows what happened and it is the job of the DoJ to enforce criminal penalities as proscribed by law.
I know if I had misplaced something, I would have been in Levenworth. That bodes on one's mind not to lose anything.
Maybe things have gotten worse at the CIA or possibly you are
more conscientious than most.
I was with the NSA...rules handling classifed Docs were the same.
Maybe rules are obeyed at the NSA more than the CIA. It does seem like the CIA gets mutinous when they don't like an Administration.
Move the CIA to West Plains MO and see the retirements begin. My guess is DIA gets us better intel.
You are correct. Langley is a glorified country club for East Coast elitists. We have better Intel analysts elsewhere, but not enough sources anywhere. Field recruiting and development were severely curtailed under Clinton and from what I have read, never really recovered.
The issue is not about leaks, but selective enforcement of the law. If I refused to provide documents and cooperate with the FBI if they showed up with a legitimate investigation, what will happen to me? Every mistake I made would be used against me. Just look at what happen to the colonel in Able Danger leak. He had his security clearance revoked because they found documents that he may have taken government office supplies (i.e ball point pens) home for private use, while Sandy Berger stuffs archive documents into his socks and underwear and gets a slap on the wrist.
Oh... ho... ho... hoooooooo... You cut right to the heart of the matter!!!
