She can call herself NICE but it doesn't make it so.
BUMP
Yes. Ordinarily, it's up to the individual to stay away from Communion if he's in a state of mortal sin, because there's no way for the priest to know that.
But in the case of a famous politician, like Teddy Kennedy, John Kerry, or Nancy Pelosi, most likely the priest would know what the situation was. Especially if there was advance warning that the pol would be there for Mass.
That's why I was curious to know whether Pelosi went up for Communion at either of these masses. I don't watch TV and I haven't heard anything about it here in the forum.
I think you may have misaddressed that remark to me.
Thank you for this one though:
God Bless You!!
God has indeed blessed me. I have a wife, 4 adult children, 12 grand children and 1 great grand child, all in good health.
Im sorry.....too much WINE!!
OK...DO IT!! We all need an "AHHHHH"!
Did the federal funding for research on existing stem-cell lines stop or expire?
Yep. Guess he thinks the symbolic act of washing his hands absolves him of cowardice and pelosi of sin
What a sad state our churches are in.
The author needs to do a little more homework. Baltimore is in a different archdiocese. Not much Wuerl can do about it. Now Cardinal Keeler is the one Mr. Smith should address.
Anybody who issues a press release about going to church is really missing the point.
OMG!! He is BEAUTIFUL!!!! What's his name?
One of the things that has been bothering me is that if indeed Nancy Pelosi was allowed to receive the Eucharist over the weekend, even though she supports the destruction of the unborn, then what's the point, for those of us who do our best to follow the teachings of Christ and the Church, to go to confession before receiving the Blessed Sacrament? (I know... I know...)
Where is the moral compass for the rest of the faithful? If those that are lukewarm in their faith, or even completely hostile to the church's teachings, face no consequences for their actions, what does that say to the rest of the Catholics?
The church will have to eventually make a stand, or lose complete credibility in the meaning of the sacraments.
Isn't a priest's duty first to save souls? If they see someone who is committing a mortal sin, are they not obligated to get that person into a confessional before receiving the Eucharist?
If nothing happens to these people, we have defamed the Eucharist, and will plunge even further away from what is holy and sacred.
Get real!!!! You aren't even Catholic and have NO idea of what you say!!! He doesn't have a THING to do with Evil Pelosi using Trinity College!!
YES....but it's up to the Priest at TRINITY COLLEGE where she went to Mass!!! We don't even know of SHE did GO TO hOLY cOMMUNION!! My guess is that Trinity College is LIBERAL!!! APOSTATES!!
