Without those who are willing to sacrifice it all for God and country, America would not exist and will never survive.
>There's no one else like him.<
Dr. Keyes is not afraid to express the truth. Elected government was meant to further the will of the people they represent, not to impose the representative's collective will upon the people. Unfortunately, this has been going on for more decades than I care to admit, so it has come to be "of the government, by the government and for the government"!
Anti-God, anti-Americanism evil has infiltrated our education, our media, our television (entertainment) with the result of destroying all that it touches. Infanticide and euthanasia only two of its diabolic manifestations.
And to ensure the continuation of the above, has come "vote by mail", and programable voting machines by which the oligarchy has taken control of an honest ballot count away from the American people. On every side oaths of office are betrayed by men and women who enter public life for life! And now that ugly tool by the name of FEAR
has come into play to remove our liberties and to influence our very decisions on vital issues.
Dr. Keyes has clearly retained his innate principles, voicing his credible concerns in his typically articulate manner for us to hear. A stand for truth, a stand for values, a stand for character and liberty, and a stand for the security of this nation, come what may is his Bibically rooted solution to stop the oppresive slide in which this nation finds itself.
Dr. Keyes is a prophet well worth heeding, a man with the qualifications to lead America today.
Unfortunately, few are willing to think deeply enough to see the real threat. As in the case of Winston Churchill, Keyes sees it, articulates it clearly, but few are listening...and probably won't until destruction is at the door.
Fact is, the most pressing dangers to our republic aren't represented by terrorists or rogue nations. They are from sources that are insidiously destroying the foundations from within.
What exactly did transpire when Borat interviewed Keyes, anybody know? Or attempted to. Is there a transcript of it somewhere?
There are a few reports out there, though.
At least that's what we're allowed to see. According to the current issue of Rolling Stone, Alan Keyes, the former Republican candidate for President, didn't cooperate. When Borat sat down with him, the first thing he did was offer a gift he said was the "bone of a Jew." Keyes immediately ripped off the microphone, stalked off the set and refused to cooperate anymore. Of course you don't see that in the film. The great power of the documentary filmmaker is the power to edit the final cut.
Thanks, Key's handling of Borat here only serves to increase my already high estimation of him. And thanks for posting his speech.
It does me good to know there are yet people like him out there. He can articulate a true conservative's convictions better than anybody. I'd vote for him in a heartbeat over the three supposedly frontrunner stooges we've got for Repub choices. He's got Mitt Romney nailed to a tee.
At first glance, I thought you said, "Nailed to a tree." That would be true, too. ;-)
Thanks for the post and the ping, EV.
Bookmarked for later read, as is your most excellent essay @ post #3.
Dr. Keyes is Churchillian in his thinking and statesmanship, is he not? Pity the country sees fit to ignore his abilities.
Ah, I wish I could lay claim to writing post number three, my friend. LOL...but that was simply an excerpt from Dr. Keyes' words. :-)
Perhaps I'll learn to read the entire post before I comment?
FReegards, my FRiend.
Well said.
Dr. Keyes is right. The pillars of the republic have all rotted. The rule of law means nothing anymore and the border/illegals situation proves that beyond a doubt.
I'm afraid the majority of Americans are too ignorant, too arrogant and to selfish to truly embrace liberty and therefore don't like Alan Keyes.
I was trying to find the quote (Madison?) about how the constitution could only be worthwhile with moral people. instead I found two from Benjamin Franklin:
"Our constitution is in actual operation. Everything appears to promise that it will last. But in this world nothing is certain but death and taxes."
At the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention he observed the symobl of the sun on George Washington's chair and mused: "I have the happiness to know it is a rising sun and not a setting sun".
It is always hard to believe (and harder still to convince others) that this great experiment we call America is not a sure thing.
I'm torn to shreds that we cannot muster a majority in this republic to stand with capable men like Dr Keyes, who articulate the lasting principles of liberty so dynamically and thoroughly.
We are getting to the point -- no -- we have reached the point that we don't deserve liberty. The government we have is the government we deserve.
I'm afraid the signs are all there that you are correct.
But, of course, we can't give up.
Our posterity is depending on us...
