Ever hear of a recoil pad. I have a winchester carbine 375. I put a cheap slip-on recoil pad on it. I carry it everywhere in the woods and shoot it occasionally too. :-)
Oh, trust me, each gun I described had a recoil pad, and they still rattle my teeth. My Mossberg turkey gun has the built in rubber recoil pad, but 3 shots or so of the 2 oz turkey loads whacks me good. I've read that the 2 oz loads have about the same recoil as a 375 H&H. I believe it. :)
Besides, I want to know where this myth started about exploding tubular magazines. Has there ever been a documented case?
When I was a kid I hunted deer with a 336C in .35 Rem loaded with Browning factory 150 grain jacketed soft points. The only thing I ever saw explode was the deer’s vital organs.
Also, where is it written that a lever action must be loaded to the hilt. I have never taken more than two shots at a deer. That would be one in the chamber and one in the magazine.
Let’s debunk this myth!
I’ve got a 760 in 30-06...
Great gun for 400 bucks
