It is exactly what I'd expect from Pat Buchanan's magazine. Bash the neocons/jews.
Mag should be re-titled the Father Coughlin Retro Gazette.
The American Conservative was always against neocons.
What would have happened with Iraq after they managed to completely thwart the sanction regime? That was going to happen, and soon, back in 2002. The sanctions were the only thing checking Saddam's ambitions for WMD and power, and they were coming to an end, one way or another.
Balderdash. Round 1 against the greatest anti-truth, anti-freedom, anti-individual, anti-life collective in the history of civilization has been the biggest success in the history of warfare. Arafat is dead. Zarqawi is dead. Saddam is dead. Progress ON.

Sheesh.
"..Matthew Hale
One of Greenwald's more notable clients was neo-Nazi Matthew Hale. Hale was eventually jailed and tried for solicitation of murder against Joan Lefkow, who had been the federal judge in the trademark case. Although Greenwald was not involved in his criminal defense, between Hale's conviction and sentencing, he attempted to use Greenwald to convey a coded message, but Greenwald refused.[2] At the time, Hale was suspected of complicity in the recent double murder of Lefkow's husband and mother, but he was eventually cleared. He remains jailed for the earlier conviction..."

"..Controversy and criticism
In July 2006, Greenwald was accused of praising himself by pseudonymously posting comments on several other blogs, a practice known as sockpuppetry.[7][8] Greenwald denied the charge, stating "I have never left a single comment at any other blog using any name other than my own, at least not since I began blogging."[9].."
This is becoming the often repeated distortion of reality. The reason the republicans got booted is because republican voters were sick of them, not the war.
The American Conservative=The David Irving Gazette
Those people mentioned in the article, and their quotes.
Are they false ? Did they or did they not say those things ?
Because if they didn't i expect law suits. If they did you can just remove all the commentary and just read the quotes. Then you can draw your own conclusions.
Good read. Most of the replies so far seem intent on trashing the source and ignoring the content, which is probably telling.
Fwiw, there are a lot of posters on this board who have followed similar paths to the pundits quoted.
Anyone's words can be ripped out of context. The "American Conservative" is anti-neocon/anti-jew. Per usual, note the primary targets of this attack.
As for taking words out of context, here's a nice example using your post.
"They did not say those things. Remove all commentary. I expect lawsuits."
By twisting your words, I've just placed you into the neocon camp. Funny how this works, isn't it?
It was a very good piece.
All here should read it and remember the writers he mentions.
Glenn Greenwald is a Constitutional law attorney, and author of the political blog, "Unclaimed Territory
Huffington Post contributor
Greenwald is the author of a forthcoming book on the radical theories of executive power embraced by the Bush Administration. The book is entitled How Would a Patriot Act? Defending American Values from a President Run Amok

To know Greenwald's motivation is dishonest - a complete sham, one need only look at Greenwald's proud defense of the on line rhetoric of White Supremacist and hate-monger Matthew Hale. Hale declared war on a judge who was later murdered and Greenwald defended it; yet, he would now condemn, if not slander, bloggers like Charles Johnson of lgf, Michelle Malkin, Jeff Goldstein at Protein Wisdom, Powerline, me - and a host of others for their rhetoric, links and blog comments allowed, or over looked.

Greenwald is openly gay and splits his time between Brazil and New York City. He explains that this is because Brazil recognizes his same-sex relationship with his Brazilian partner, while the United States does not.[1]
Glenn Greenwald explains how John Dean has made the ultimate call on Bush administration
He is often described by critics as a liberal blogger, and he is opposed to the policies of the Bush Administration, but he describes himself as neither liberal nor conservative. Indeed, he contends that "Bush followers are not conservatives".[1]
He is a graduate of George Washington University and received a J.D. from New York University Law School. He worked at the large New York law firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz both before and briefly after he joined the New York bar in 1995. He left to co-found the law firm of Greenwald Christoph & Holland, now Greenwald Christoph. He litigated several cases with constitutional issues.
He remains jailed for the earlier conviction.
Greenwald started a blog, "Unclaimed Territory" (http://glenngreenwald.blogspot.com/), in October 2005, focusing initially on the Valerie Plame affair and the investigation of Scooter Libby. When the NSA warrantless surveillance controversy became known two months later, he shifted primary attention to that. He quickly became known as a prominent legal critic of the George W. Bush administration.
U.S. Senator Russ Feingold quoted Greenwald's blog on the floor of the Senate when he introduced Senate Resolution 398, to censure President Bush. [5]
Greenwald only began blogging in late 2005 and has naturally focussed on matters he thinks are urgent such as eavesdropping without FISA warrants and the Iraq War.
In July 2006, Greenwald was accused of praising himself by pseudonymously posting comments on several other blogs, a practice known as sockpuppetry.[7][8] Greenwald denied the charge, stating "I have never left a single comment at any other blog using any name other than my own, at least not since I began blogging."[9]
